LUTHER PARK BIBLE CAMP’S
RECHARGE 2017—2018
The 2017—2018 Recharge is being held at
Luther Park Bible Camp on the following dates: January 5-6, 2018 March 2-3, 2018
Join Luther Park for 24 hours of camp to
recharge faith through faith discussion, music,
friends and activities! Explore how prayer is the
lifeline for Christians through three sessions:
Ask, Search, Knock. The cost for children and youth, grades 3–12, is
$80.00 which includes programs, meals,
lodging and a Recharge t-shirt. $30 for adults.

LUTHER PARK ANNUAL MEETING
Luther Park Bible Camp, Inc. will hold its annual meeting
on Saturday, January 27, 2018, in the Dining Hall at Luther Park Bible Camp. Coffee will be available at 9:30 AM with the
meeting to begin at 10:00 AM. Each member congregation is entitled to three (3) voting delegates, either clergy or lay. Any number from your congregation may attend but only three (3) may serve as delegates. Each delegate shall have one vote. In the event of inclement weather, check the webpage: lutherpark.org and/or their Face-book page.

BETHEL LUTHERAN COUNCIL MEETING
December 10, 2017
The meeting was called to order by President Larry Guthman. Members present were
Meridee G., Dan M., Jim P., Janet P., Debbie P., Marv B., and Pastor Halom.
The secretary's report was read and approved.
The treasurer's report was read and approved.
Committee Reports:
Music and Worship: Hymns will be chosen on Monday Dec. 11 at 9 AM.
Stewardship: Good
Building and Grounds: The roofers are expected in a week or so. Money has been raised to
meet the goal for the roof. The back light has been replaced. The septic system has been
repaired.
Youth and Education: Good
Fundraising: Good
Old Business:
Any future donations that come in will be designated for the parking lot to replace monies
used from the general fund for this project.
The celebration for Pat Hogan is put on hold for the time being.
New Business:
Debbie P. and Susanne G. will audit the books on January 7, 2018.
We have a second quote for church insurance which should be compared to the current
one.
New council members are Marty Allison and Janet Pingel.
A motion was made, seconded and approved to place an ad for a new pianist the second
week of January for a couple of weeks at $14 per week. The position pays $50 per week.
Pastor is considering a Christmas Eve morning breakfast & study in lieu of a service that
morning.
Pastor Melinda will be gone Sunday, January 7. Debbie P. will conduct the service.
The next meeting will be January 14, 2018.
The meeting was adjourned.

CHILI FEST FUNDRAISER (Formerly known as Winterfest)
Luther Park is hosting it’s winter
fundraiser, CHILI FEST on Sunday, January 28, 2018, from
12:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Mark your calendar for this fun filled day of family and wintry fun at Luther Park. There will be activi-
ties for all ages including Sledding, Games, Crafts and Raffle Baskets
The chili cook-off winner will be announced at 3:00 pm. Hot chocolate and coffee will be served along with tasty bottomless chili, hotdogs and desserts. To make this day a success, Luther Park is look-ing for volunteers and donations; pots of chili for the cook-off, themed baskets for the raffle, dona-tions of hotdogs, condiments, etc, and volunteers for the day of the event. If you are interested, please contact the office of Luther Park at: 715-859-2215 Luther Park urges all churches to participate and be represented. All proceeds support the minis-tries of Luther Park.
