As you probably already know, Lynn has resigned to pursue other interests and I have agreed to step in to help the board until they decide that it is time to begin the search for a new permanent director. My previous work as an independent consultant has given me a wide range of experiences assisting organizations that are encountering leadership changes and I am honored to have been asked to help to ensure a smooth transition. While I continue to learn more about day-to-day opera- tions and to understand the interrelationships between the many moving parts that, together, make up this amazing and productive organization, I ask for your pa- tience and understanding. Please let me know if I miss any important cues or make mistakes. Please also let me know if you have ideas for improving either our pro- grams or your experiences as an essential volunteer. My immediate goals include working with each commit- tee to help standardize internal processes and helping to forge more active and productive collaborations with other local arts groups and arts patrons. I look forward to being a part of ART321 for the foreseea- ble future and to working together with you to further elevate the arts and arts education here in Casper. Art 321 News Newsletter January 2017

Happy 2017! I am both pleased and proud to be serving as the

interim executive director of ART 321!

As you probably already know, Lynn has resigned to

pursue other interests and I have agreed to step in to

help the board until they decide that it is time to begin

the search for a new permanent director. My previous

work as an independent consultant has given me a wide

range of experiences assisting organizations that are

encountering leadership changes and I am honored to

have been asked to help to ensure a smooth transition.

While I continue to learn more about day-to-day opera-

tions and to understand the interrelationships between

the many moving parts that, together, make up this

amazing and productive organization, I ask for your pa-

tience and understanding. Please let me know if I miss

any important cues or make mistakes. Please also let

me know if you have ideas for improving either our pro-

grams or your experiences as an essential volunteer.

My immediate goals include working with each commit-

tee to help standardize internal processes and helping

to forge more active and productive collaborations with

other local arts groups and arts patrons.

I look forward to being a part of ART321 for the foreseea-

ble future and to working together with you to further

elevate the arts and arts education here in Casper. We

should have our 2017 workshop schedule ready for dis-

tribution very soon and I hope you will agree that our

Workshop Committee has lined up a great list of classes

for the coming year. Don’t miss out on these upcoming

workshops:

Shanor; 10AM to 3 PM; $65

Bryson– Tuesdays 6PM to 7:30 PM; $150

Be sure to mark your calendars for February 17th and

join us for our S’mores Members Party. Invitations will

be mailed to you soon! Diane Harrop

Introducing New Staff

Will Davis may have been born in Tex-as, but has lived in Casper for nearly a quarter of a century. As such, he has dedicated his time to helping the artist community as a gallery assistant at Cas-per College, a collections specialist at the Nicolaysen Art Museum, and has

just been added to our staff as our very own Gallery As-sistant. Having graduated from Casper College with three associate degrees in Art Education, Fine Arts, and Museum & Gallery Studies, he is looking forward to us-ing all of his talents to assist us with everything from the gallery and gift shop to classes and workshops.
