Correction: LAST MONTH I REPORTEDTHAT DUES WOULD INCREASE BY$2.00. on May 1st, 2016. The following para-
It is a very cold December: icy roadsand driveways. Please be careful whenwalking or driving. We want everyoneto stay safe and comfortable during thismiserable cold period.
January is a very slow month, but thereare still lunches and Thursday nightdinners, Friday or Saturday dinners andan occasional Breakfast. Signup, showup and support the Lodge. If you can, sign up and give us a hand in thekitchen, or come in on the first Tuesdayof the month to help on work day.
Diane Freier and the ladies did a greatjob, once again, with the Christmasparty. Well done ladies and thank youfor every thing you do to help thisLodge stay as one of the best in the fra-ternity. Without the ladies, this Lodgewould not be as good as it is.If we are able to find Crab this year, the
Crab Feed will be on February 27,2016. When tickets go on sale, getthem early or wait until 2017.
My Bull Moose of the month is differ-ent this month. It is ALL MEMBERSof the Lodge who are here to work andsupport the Lodge. Without thesepeople, there would be no Ebbetts PassMoose Lodge or WOTM. Thanks toall of you. I hope all of you had agreat Christmas and new year. Whenyou come into the Lodge, say hello toeveryone and if you don't know them, introduce yourself. They might be-come a friend for life!

graph is the correction to that statement. OnMay 1, 2016 the first of three $2.00 in-creases in the Moose International Per cap-ita amount will take place.. This is a por-tion of each member’s annual dues remittedto Moose International. This means ourLodge will lose $2.00 per member that wecurrently receive from Moose Internationalfrom our member’s annual dues. The sec-ond year, another $2.00 per capita increasewill occur making a total of $4.00. And thethird year will be the 3rd and final $2.00increase for an overall total of $6.00 permember. This per capita increase was an-nounced at the International Convention inNashville this past July. At this time thereis no plan to increase our members’ dues aswe hope to be able to make up the lossfrom increased lodge events and moremember participation. Time will tell. Iencourage all members to please participatein lodge events as much as you can.

Senior Regent’s Update
We had very active November & Decem-ber thanks to all of our volunteers and Iwant to take the time to thank the Womenof the Moose for their in involvement inthe White Pines Parade of Lights. Thiswas the first time that this event was donein White Pines and it was a big successdespite freezing cold weather the night ofthe event. The Chair Person from the Women of theMoose was Karen Pennington and hercommittee is Mooseheart & Moosehaven. She planned and provided hot drinks forthe participants and spectators, for theWhite Pines Parade of Lights. The drinkswere served in the parking lot of thelodge and park and gave the Moose greatexposure to the Public!!Thanks to Mary Ann Fabian & Joe Sal-vato and Jerry & Kathy Osincup whoborrowed a trailer from Scott Freier andcreated a float for the Parade of Lightsand again giving the Moose Lodge great
freezing temperatures mind you). Thankyou to Colette Scales, Karen Penningtonand Scott Freier for helping out, I hope bynow you are all thawed out. November 29thwe teamed with the LOOM for the ErikMomyer Memorial, which I hope helped toease the burden for Erik’s family. Thankyou Charlotte Armstrong and Kathy Car-penter and others for all that you did toprepare for that special day.On December 1st, many of our ladiesshowed up for the Work Day to help deco-rate the inside of the lodge and stuff giftbags for our annual Kids Christmas Party(held on December 12th). Later the eveningof the 1st, WOTM had their annual Orna-ment Exchange Party directly after our FirstMeeting of the Month. We all had a greattime and ended up with some adorablegifts. December 8th, our Higher DegreeChair, Della Taylor, held an Academy ofFriendship Christmas Luncheon at theSnowshoe Brewery, where we had a lot offun exchanging gifts. Later that evening,we held our annual Green Cap Ceremonyin recognition of all Green Cap recipientsand our newest recipient, Colette Scales.Congratulations Colette!! December 11th

We are over half way through our membership year and we are behind on our membershipgoals. As of 12-14-15 the members on our rolls is 540 and our goal is 552 leaving us 12 mem-bers behind!!!We need a lot of help from all our members to try to make up for the 12 members, so If youhave a friend , relative that you want to have join you in the great events that this Lodge pro-vides to our members, then take the time to fill out a membership application for them.International has started a reward program for sponsoring new members and if you go on theinternational web site and type in membership awards program you will see all the nice thingsthat they give for just signing up new members. You should keep in mind that a new member will get a $10.00 saving for signing up right wayinstead of paying $20.00 enrollment fee the fee is only $10.00. The amount to join is a $10.00enrollment fee and $65.00 for the first year’s dues = $75.00 total!!We will not be having a new member luncheon until the spring, I will notify you a month inadvance in my Membership Message.I thank you in advance for the help that I know you will do to achieve our goals.Ted CarpenterMembership
It was another cold, cold work day. Wegot so much done inside this month.Terry Kish, a fairly new member wasthere to help. Dennis Murch joined usand what a work horse he is. Glad youcould come and help out, Terry and Den-nis. Of course, we have our regularwork horses and they did a mighty finejob too!! Rod Cummins, Ray Sutliffe,Mike Brashear, Scott Freier, Ted Car-penter, Steve Minneci. Karl Malmincame up to me the other night and wassorry he missed work day. I think wecan excuse him even though he andDonna were in Mexico soaking up thewarm sun.As always, the kitchen got a good scrub-bing. We even got the floors lookingspic and span. All of the bar glasses gota good run through the sanitizer and thebar area got an extra cleanup. The lightfixtures got a good dusting. Scott Freierchecked the emergency lights (gave thatone to a tall guy) and we ordered newbatteries for them. Don’t’ want to becaught in the dark. Now, on to the ladies who come everyyear on the December Work Day todecorate the lodge for the ChristmasHoliday. Our Sr. Regent, Diane Freierled the ladies in a wonderful project.Bonnie Doiel, Mary Ann Fabian, ChrisLestanguet, Marilyn Harlow, Kathy Car-penter, Donna Holley, Kathy Eback,Melanie Kish, and Shirley Small. TerryKish did double duty and helped deco-rate. So, when you come into the lodgeduring the holidays and enjoy the deco-rations, you can thank this fine group.Next Work Day, Tuesday, January 5th at9am. Hope you can make this one. Iwill be gone for the Feb. and MarchWork Days. Chris and I will be doingour almost annual trip to Arizona and So.California. We are looking forward to alittle warm weather also.
See you in April!
