Merry Christmas!

The New Year is a reminder that God’s grace is sufficient. He is the God of second chances. You may have spent 2015 running away. You and Jonah have some things in common. But God graciously delivered Jonah and gave him a second chance.

Adam and Eve sinned against God and hid. God came look-ing, found them, clothed them, and gave them hope. Israel rebelled against God. God gave them a fresh start. Peter denied even knowing Jesus. He was forgiven and provided a powerful platform to proclaim the gospel. Saul devoted his life to destroying the church. God gave him a fresh start.

Chuck Colson was involved in the Watergate scandal and went to jail. He found God and was used immeasurably for the kingdom. I’m sure you can think of many other exam-ples of lives being changed. God can use you in 2016 in ways that you cannot imagine. It’s never to late to give yourself over to God. Act now! Remember what Saint Au-gustine of Hippo said: “God has promised forgiveness to your repentance, but He has not promised tomorrow to your procrastination.”

WOW! I can’t believe how fast 2015 has flown by. It’s so great to know that God is so gracious to give new starts. We can do this in the coming new year. Experiencing forgiveness and reconciliation is sometimes a difficult thing but, one that is necessary for those who want a new start in the new year. God himself has shows us that He extends reconciliation to us. 2 Corinthians 5:18-21 “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be recon-ciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” The state-ment for the new year, is “Be reconciled to God”!

What a privilege it is to work with such a great choir. The choir did a wonderful job on the musical “Light, Out of the Darkness”. We will get started January 6th. We will hit the ground running working on songs for the worship services and Easter. Come join the choir, we would love to have you!

Mark Taylor

2015 came and went so quickly it takes me a minute to remember all the wonderful things God has been doing in the youth department. There were several salvations/baptisms in the spring, several seniors graduated to start their lives at college, summer camp was held in Panama City Beach Florida, the youth group received a new name and vision, the youth room was set up to reflect it, we officially have outgrown the youth room, two book studies were started (one for boys and the other for girls), girls and guys have their own discussion groups on Wednes-days, Sunday School is bigger than ever, and discipleship is on the rise within the group. God has been incredibly generous with His blessings this year and my prayer is we continually seek Him in 2016 to further His Kingdom and glory.

We want to thank you for all your support and prayers throughout the year. I believe many of them have been answered, but there is still more to do. Please continue to pray for growth, wisdom, and fervor to do God’s work. To Him all glory and honor go to.

Happy New Year from NXGEN to you!
