(Tax & tip included) Make checks payable to HRWF Humboldt is a bit isolated, so it’s not often we get together with our kindred spirits from other counties. Much as we can stay in touch via the internet, social media and the like, there ’ s nothing like getting to meet up in p erson. Elissa W adleigh has been up here a few times now, once when campaigning to become Northwest Regional Vice Chairman for the California Republican Party. She promised more outreach and a more responsive CRP and, now serving in that position, she’ s making good on that promise. We’re excited to introduce her to you, the HRWF membership; this is really a big part of what the club is all about! As we begin another critical elec tion year (yes, we have a chance to make changes in Washington DC), it’s especially important that we all come together as we work with our local Central Commit- tee to build a more efficient grassroots effort to suppor t Republican candidates, locally, statewide and nationally . Elissa’ s been active with the Sonoma County Republican Central Commit tee since 2003, ser ving as Third District Chair, Volunteer Coordinator, Communications Director, First Vice Chairperson (Political Director), Chairman of the Sonoma County Republican Central Committee (SCRCC), and now as our representative at the state level. She’ s worked as c ampaign office manager for Dominic Foppoli, the Bush Reelection campaign team, as California Statewide Voluntee r Coordinator for the Fred Thompson campaign for the President, and County Campaign Chairperson for Senator McCain. On top of all that she is also involved with domestic violence education and support and the Al-Anon Family Groups which help those that are affected by a loved one's substance abuse. It’ s a real treat to catch up on what’ s going on with other groups in the state and get up to speed on plans for the coming election year , learning what WE can do to help save California and the nation. It really is a critical time!
