Prayer for Missionaries in America Dear Lord, We pray for those who work among poor and
isolated communities across America, bearing witness to the
life of Christ in a thousand different ways. Give them wisdom,
courage and joy in their generous ministry. AMEN
Next week, our parish will take up the 134th annual National Black and Indian Mission Collection. Our support of this collection helps build the Church in African American, Native American, and Alaska Native communities from coast to coast. Schools, parish religious education programs, and diocesan ministries depend on your generosity to help them spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Our diocese also received $50,000 in grant funding from this collection last year, benefiting Arkansas Council of Black Catholics, St. Peter’s in Pine Bluff, St. Bartholomew and St. Augustine.
