Flocknotes had over 120,000 peo-ple signed up to receive the daily message on the Baltimore Cate-chism and Popes of the church. This year they will be repeating the Pope series and adding the new (1992) Catechism to the daily se-

ries. If you have web access through a computer or smart phone, you may want to consider signing up for one or all of these daily reads. The Catechism is daunt-ing when you look at in its entirety, 2 inches thick, but if you take it in smaller daily bites, you can get through it in a year and in the process grow and strengthen your faith. Sign up at http://flocknote.com/catechism or /pope.

It is getting to be that time of year again. To that end, the 2016 tax statements are now available for pick up in the back of the church. By law, we are required to post dona-

tions based on when they are received/post marked. If you have any questions about your statements, just give the rectory a call.

Have you ever been stuck trying to find the right response for a Baptist, Protestant or other tradition that chal-lenges our Catholic beliefs? If you listen to this CD from Stephen Ray, a former diehard Baptist, you will come away with some good ways to point out the Fullness of our Faith and the

weaknesses in their arguments. We have a very rich faith based on Scripture, Tradition and Apostolic Succes-sion. We don’t need to gloat about it, but we sure shouldn’t shy away from defending our beliefs when chal-lenged.

Congratulations to both churches for achieving our monetary goals this year!

The Bishop will be sending one last letter this week to those that still haven’t participated in the ACA. As Catho-lics we have a responsibility to support our Diocesan ef-forts, so please consider participating in the ACA. We still have plenty of envelopes available in the back of the church. You can also sign up directly at the Diocese of Helena website (diocesehelena.org).

Thank You to the hearty souls that have been coming around to shovel the side-walks after the snow. The winds have been forming some healthy drifts at the front and back doors of the rec-

tory, but luckily, the Church is being spared. We don’t have any people signed up for the coming weeks, so we hope that someone will make a commitment for the open weeks. We have plenty of shovels available, so it can be a family effort. Thank You!

After each presentation you have time in the privacy of your room to discuss the previous presentation.

Retrouvaille is for any couple who would like to rediscov-er their marriage and improve communication. The Diocese of Hel-ena is considered a Mission Diocese because of our large number of smaller parishes. As one of those Mission par-

ishes, Immaculate Conception just received $2,600 from Catholic Home Missions. This is the first half of an an-nual grant of $5,200 that we received to help support the evangelization efforts of our parish. Thank you for your support of this appeal in the past and be sure to keep their efforts for all the smaller parishes across our coun-try in your prayers.

The first meeting of the new year for the Knights of Columbus will be this coming Tuesday, January 17th at 6:00 PM. Wes-ley Eastis volunteered to cook this week and mentioned something about enchila-das. Fr. Joe has lots of projects for when the weather warms up, so come and volunteer or protect yourself from being volunteered.
