General Requirements: Basic sewing supplies such as: Janome
sewing machine needles, embroidery
threads, quilting threads, scissors, pencil, fabric glue, iron
& ironing board.

Quilted Wall Hanging Requirements:
QTY SIZE DETAILS
7 15 x 15cm Bauble Fabric (selection of colours)
1 35 x 70cm Background Fabric
1 40 x 75cm Wadding
1 40 x 75cm Backing
2 2.5” x WOF Binding
7 15 x 15cm Double-sided fusing for applique
1 35 x 70cm Iron on stabiliser (Cut away)
Construction: 1. Transfer shapes to back of the double-sided
fusing.
Cut out roughly ¼” outside the line.
Fuse onto the back of your bauble fabric.
Cut out along the line.
2. Fuse the baubles into position onto the right side of the
background fabric and fuse the stabiliser to the wrong side.
3. Sew decorative stitches from the top of the baubles to the
edge of the fabric in a contrasting colour.

4. Sew Decorative stitches across the baubles in various
colours.
Press the [Reverse] Button to stop at the edge of the shape and
secure the thread.
Use the FB Border Guide foot for evenly spaced rows of
stitches.
5. Applique around edges of baubles in a matching thread.
6. Baste the quilt using your preferred method and quilt as
desired.
On this sample we used the:
- HP2 foot to Echo quilt ¼” around the baubles.
- QC foot to free motion pebbles as a garland.
- HP2 foot to sew straight lines, at random widths, in
background.
7. Bind the quilt to finish the edges.

Tree Decorations Requirements: Enough to make at least 3
decorations.
QTY SIZE DETAILS
3 15 x 25cm Coloured Felt
50cm 5-6mm Ribbon
1 15 x 15cm Clear Vinyl
30cm 5-6mm Sequins
Toy stuffing
Construction: 1. Stitch across the felt with Decorative
stitches.
Use the F, F2 or FB Border guide foot.
For each row use different coloured thread, various stitch
combinations or monogramming Merry Christmas.
2. Trace template onto felt & cut out x2 pieces, for the
front and back.
3. Using the M Overedge or C Overcast foot, sew around edges
leaving a 3-
4cm opening.
Insert a small amount of toy stuffing.
Finish sewing the edge.

4. Using fabric glue, attach a top piece to the front and back
to each bauble.
Fold a 10cm piece of ribbon in half and insert between the two
top pieces.
Top-stitch around edge.
Optional Decorating Ideas:
1. Use the RS Ribbon & Sequin foot to sew sequins across the
felt.
Sew decorative stitches in-between the sequins.
2. Place loose sequins and thread scraps under a layer of clear
vinyl.
Topstitch around the shape with the UG Ultra Glide foot.
