Sometimes as Christians we

forget that we serve God 24

hours a day, 7 days a week,

and 365 days a year. Serving

God is not just a SUNDAY thing!

I believe that when Monday

morning arrives, we must be

reminded during our drive to

work, and during our day, that

God must be in our hearts, our

minds, and our actions.

Listed below are some ways

to get through your work day

with God:

1) Each morning when you

wake ask God to help you

through your day.

2) When you are stuck in

traffic on your way to

work—ask God to give you

patience.

3) You have finally arrived—

thank God for bringing you

safely to your destination.

4) You did your best on an

important project –still the

manager is not satisfied—

ask God to help you to be

humble during this situat

ion.

5) Lunchtime—Perfect! Thank

God for getting you half-

way through the day.

6) A Co-worker has offended

you in some way—ask God

to help you to turn the

other cheek.

7) Finally, the day is over—

thank God for getting you

through this day.

8) Stuck in traffic—again!

Take time to review your

day—look at your self. Look

for things that you can do

to improve yourself, to

create a better relation-

ship with God and others!

As you can see, the key to

keeping God in your life at work

is prayer. Prayer is that critical

communication between God

and us. Without this communi-

Life I am the new year.

I am an unspoiled page in your book of time.

I am your next chance at the art of living.

I am your opportunity to practice what you have learned about life during the last twelve months.

All that you sought and didn't find is hidden in me,

waiting for you to search it out with more determination.

All the good that you tried for and didn't achieve

is mine to grant when you have fewer conflicting desires.

All that you dreamed but didn't dare to do, all that you hoped but did not will,

all the faith that you claimed but did not have --

these slumber lightly, waiting to be awakened

by the touch of a strong purpose.

I am your opportunity

to renew your allegiance to Him who said, "behold, I make all things new."

I am the new year.

To All People, especially 50+! Water! To all of you who hate the taste of water, lemon/orange slices could be added to enhance the taste. Just 8 to10 ounces of water is required on a daily basis. I believe other liquids such as, coffee, tea, and juices are included in this requirement. We should drink enough wa-ter to prevent our bodies from becoming dehydrated. The lack of water looks like the following: No water = dehy-dration. If we do not drink enough water, we may encounter short term memory, and tired-

ness. When we drink water, we may 1)help curb appetites, 2) help slim waist lines, and 3) help the body to metabo-lize stored fat. If we do not drink enough water, fat deposits may in-crease. I have not seen this product (zelo water), but I heard that it has a lot of nutri-ent hydration. This is very important to our well being. VITAMIN C is another im-portant nutrient needed for our bodies. As you know, the cold/flu season is just around the corner. Vitamin C helps maintain our immune system, contributes to the natural pro-

duction of collagen, helps protect the body from cardio vascular disease, acts as antioxidant, and helps in the fighting of cancer causing free radicals. Please do your research! I TRUST THIS INFORMA-TION WAS HELPFUL! AS ALWAYS, PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR DOC-TOR FOR GUIDANCE. Have a joyous holiday and a safe new year! God Bless! Love, Annie

How Do I Get into Heaven?

A teacher asked the children in her Sunday School class,

"If I sold my house and my car, had a big garage sale

and gave all my money to the church, would I get into

heaven?"

"NO!" the children all answered.

"If I cleaned the church every day, mowed the yard,

and kept everything neat and tidy, would I get into heaven?"

Again, the answer was "NO!"

"Well," she continued, "then how can I get to heaven?"

In the back of the room, a five-year-old boy shouted out,

"You gotta be dead!"

Well, it's 2012 and we made it through all of the obstacles, attacks, and plots of the enemy.

What about the self-inflicted wounds we have caused to ourselves? I'm in a place of healing,

where I am looking at the real reason why I have been stagnate in my pursuit of my dreams. So

many times, we want to rebuke the devil and people, but we don't look at ourselves as being the

problem or hindrance to our future.

Are we doing all that we can do? Are our hands busy with working at achieving our des-

tiny? Can we say in all honesty that we have given God our best? I can truly say - no, but I vow

to be more committed in my love walk with Him, my husband, and my children. I vow to be

more committed in my endeavors as a writer and I will no longer make excuses. Let's get out of

our own way and get to work!

He talked about the drinking

that Kathleen hid from the

world, but not from him. Mark

talked about her unwillingness

to be loving and intimate to-

wards him.

He went on to say that he did

not want to use those things as

and excuse. Nevertheless, he

was at a lost as to what he

should do when he cannot be

with his wife. Kathleen began to

cry and asked her husband to

forgive her. Mark went on to say

that he went to the Greater

Samaritan Full Gospel Church

and spoke with Reverend

Smotty.

Kathleen was surprised.

Mark told her that he accepted

Jesus Christ as his Lord and

Savior.

Will continue in March’s issue!

Min. A.A.

Mark’s sudden return star-

tled Martha and Kathleen. Im-

mediately, Kathleen lit into her

husband. She began to yell and

swing at him uncontrollably.

Mark defended himself by

blocking her swings, but he did

not retaliate. He waited quietly

until she calmed down.

It was then that Mark spoke.

He asked Martha to forgive him

for his actions. Mark began to

cry. He got down on his knees

and bowed his head to the floor

and asked for her forgiveness.

Martha tearfully accepted his

apology and forgave him. She

helped him up and left the

room so the couple to talk.

By now, Kathleen was on the

bed. Mark went and sat by his

wife. He begged her for forgive-

ness. Kathleen asked why he

would do such a thing. Mark

began to talk about their lack of

relations for the past few years.

As Christians, we

may find ourselves fac-

ing some turbulence

when it concerns who to

call “friend” and who to

dub “associate”, and for

good reason.

The Word speaks

about being unequally

yoked in 2 Corinthians

6:14, and many times it

is considered to be a

verse referring to mar-

riage, but what about

your relationships with

friends?

So often we find our-

selves in positions where

we have to judge

whether or not a person

is truly out for our best

interest or their own. It

can be difficult, once

one has become a true

believer to remove them-

selves from certain rela-

tionships that may hin-

der the most important

relationship of their lives

--their relationship with

God. However, the

Word also says that once

a person is in Christ, he

is a new person, a new

creation, and that all old

things are passed away.

This should include any-

thing that we have been

convicted to let go of.

Alternatively, there are

instances when God has

us remain in friendships

so that we can become

influential in that per-

son's life (even if only

for a season) to encour-

age them to come to

Christ by being exam-

ples of Christ's love. Je-

sus had people who He

trusted and held near and

dear to Himself, one of

which famously betrayed

Him, (Judas Iscariot),

proof that not everyone

who claims to be a

friend, is indeed your

friend. Because we know

that these types of peo-

ple exist, would this give

us justification to com-

pletely cut them off to

the point of treating

them unkindly and

harshly? Obviously not.

1 Corinthians 13 tells us

that love is something

that NEVER fails and

that we are nothing if

have not love for one

another. At the same

time, we should exercise

caution and use discern-

ment when we are

choosing friends for our-

selves. God is the only

one who can see what

effects the decisions that

we make will have on

our future.

Our trust should remain

with Him first and fore-

most, for He is the only

truthful and reliable

Friend that we can ever

ask for.

Sister B.A.J

Some say Judgment Day

is May 21st or October 21st,

or December 2012. The Bi-

ble says, ―No one knows the

day nor the hour when Christ

returns.‖ This, I believe,

stands true today. Instead of

worrying about the date, we

should focus on whether or

not we are prepared for the

return. Too many of us must

make changes that will put

us in a position to be worthy

of Christ’s return. Are we

ready? Have we repented

and asked for God’s mercy

for the sins we have commit-

ted?

Will you be one of those

staying behind after the

Rapture? Have you accepted

Christ? This should be our

concern, instead of the date.

The date should be the least

of your worries. If God

wanted us to know the date,

he would have put it in the

Bible with everything else He

placed in there for us to live

by. There are some things

God did not want us to

know. Obviously the date of

Jesus’ return is one of them.

There are people predicting

the date and as a result,

people have been selling

their possessions. When the

predicted date does not ma-

terialize, those people are

left with nothing. One organi-

zation, which will remain

nameless in this newsletter,

has an estimated worth of

$18,000,000.00. If the or-

ganization is predicting the

end of the world, why would

they need millions of dol-

lars?

"Study to shew (show)

thyself (yourself) approved

unto God, a workman that

needeth not to be ashamed,

rightly dividing the word of

truth" 2nd Timothy 2:15 -

KJV. This verse simply

means that we should read

and study the Bible. This

process will allow us to not

be fooled by the wiles of the

devil. Reading for yourself

will allow God to help you to

understand and act upon His

directions and lessons in His

Word. Many people attend

church and wait for the

preacher to divulge the Word

of God. Unfortunately, it is

important that you read the

Word for yourself. Whether

you read or don’t read for

yourself, you are held ac-

countable. The excuse of not

knowing about the Word will

not be justifiable for God. I

am saying all of this to say

that if you read the Word, you

will know that not even Jesus

knows the date of His return.

So, lets focus on what we

do know. We know that Jesus

will return. We know God’s

expectations for our lives

based upon Bible principles.

We must live by those princi-

ples and be ready for when-

ever Jesus will return!

I was estranged from my

younger sibling for approxi-

mately a decade or more,

because of sin that was unto

me and me not being able to

forgive.

Approximately, a year

ago, I forgave everyone that

have hurt me and will hurt

me in the future … Matthew

18:21 states “Lord how often

should I forgive someone

who sins against me? The

answer is seven times.” Mat-

thew 18:22 states, “No! Jesus

replied, seventy times seven.”

That has set me free to

live a better life for Jesus.

Now, I am not angry every

time someone has sinned

against me. I wanted God to

forgive me for my sins. The

Bible says in Matthew 6:14-

15, “If you forgive those who

sin against you, your heav-

enly Father will forgive you.

But if you refuse to forgive

others, your father will not

forgive your sins.”

My sibling and I are now

talking on the phone. My

sibling has invited me to my

nieces and nephews baptism.

We broke bread together on

Thanksgiving Day and we

had a marvelous time.

We talked about what we are

thankful for. My sibling be-

been like in the past 20 years.

It was a life plagued with

trials, tribulations, and job-

lessness.

Initially, I was happy, but

then my feelings changed and

I started feeling sorry for my

sibling. I didn’t comprehend

how I could feel that way in

lure of the past circum-

stances, because I wanted my

sibling to get the big pay-

back. But God had it all fig-

ured out. His plan was bigger

than my mindset.

When they departed, I

told my sibling that I loved

him, I don’t recall what was

said, but it didn’t matter. I did

what thus said the Lord. Ac-

cording to Matthew 5:44,

“But I say, love your ene-

mies! Pray for those who

persecute you!” Further, Mat-

thew 5:45 says, “In that way,

you will be acting as true

children of your Father in

heaven.” At that moment, I

felt peace that surpassed all

understanding.

I did not think that my

sibling and I would ever

come together again. God is

an awesome God!! No prob-

lem is too big for him to re-

solve. Thank you Jesus!

Many people say that first

impressions are crucial when

you are meeting someone new

because that gives the person

a chance to figure out what

kind of person you are. The way

you talk, act, and dress are all

ways you can be perceived.

You could be one of the best

people in the world, but no one

will know that because your

actions show a different you.

Therefore, I want you to realize

that actions do speak louder

than words, so let your actions

speak your personality.

It is now 2012, this is a year

of renewal. Every minute that

you are not dead, is an oppor-

tunity to better yourself. If 2011

was not your best year, then

make this year different. As

they say with every new year

comes a new chance for re-

newal. So put on your best you

and make this year different!

A couple of days ago, I found

myself watching the House of

Payne, written and produced

by no other than, Tyler Perry.

In this episode, the young son

went off to college and was

attempting to join a sorority.

Well, things did not go as ex-

pected, in fact, he was about

to be suspended. After a

tongue-lashing from the fa-

ther, the young man was told

to ―fix‖ the problem he

caused. The young man told

the truth, and ultimately was

despised by his friends and

harassed by the people he

―ratted‖ on. As a result, he

decided that he would drop

out of his first year in college.

Well, dad informed him that

since he was a ―man‖ that

men worked and provided for

things. He let him know that

he needed the money for wa-

ter bill, light, and other items

by certain dates in the month.

Needless to say, I was

stunned.

This is not something that we

see today.

Letting Go

Today, parents are still treating

grown adults like they are still chil-

dren. Further, these grown adults

are still acting like children by con-

tinuing to call dad and mom when-

ever they are in a bind. To add to

this, the parents are bailing these

adults out because they are their

―children.‖ The cycle continues to

repeat and now, we have a genera-

tion of ―children‖ way up into their

30’s and more, still begging and

asking for help. What does this

teach them? When do parents let

go? When do ―children‖ grow up?

This episode of the House of

Payne was a true example of par-

enthood, at its best. A father must

teach a young boy to be a man, as

a mother teaches her young

daughter to be a woman. Tough

love brings about strong students

who learn to make decisions and

attack challenges on their own.

Now, I am not saying that a parent

should not provide advice, and

help, especially when an adult

child is attempting to help him or

herself. If the individual (s) are in

school and working towards a

goal, I do not have a problem with

that.

A gentle answer turns away

wrath, but a harsh word stirs up

anger (Proverbs 15:1).

He who walks with the wise

grows wise, but a companion of

fools suffers harm (Proverbs

13:20).

Put away perversity from your

mouth; keep corrupt talk far

from your lips (Proverbs 4:24).

Let another praise you, and not

your own mouth; someone

else, not your own lips

(Proverbs 27:2).

He who conceals his sins does

not prosper, but whoever con-

fesses and renounces the finds

mercy (Proverbs 28:13).

Honor your mother and father,

so that your days will be long in

the land your God is giving you

(Exodus 20:12).

But everything should be done

in a fitting and orderly way (1

Corinthians 14:40).

Be devoted to one another in

brotherly love. Honor one an-

other above yourselves

(Romans 12:10).

Hatred stirs up dissension, but

love covers over all wrongs

(Proverbs 10:12).

The way of a fool seems right to

him, but a wise man listens to

advice (Proverbs 12:14).

A generous man will prosper:

he who refreshes others will

himself be refreshed (Proverbs

11:25).

Bear with each other and for-

give whatever grievances you

may have against another.

Forgive as the Lord forgave you

(Colossians 3:13).

A heart at peace gives life to

the body, but envy rots the

body (Proverbs 14:30).

The cycle

continues to

repeat and

now, we have a

generation of

“children” way

up into their

30’s and more

still begging

and asking for

help.

But what is the limit here?

What concerns me is when

these adult children are disre-

spectful, know everything, and

refuses to listen to the advice of

their parents. I have a problem

with adult children not taking on

the responsibility of their own

financial obligations. I do have a

problem with parents still pay-

ing obligations for adult children

who are in their 30’s and above.

When does it stop? When are

the apron strings cut? Is it out

of guilt? Is it for revenge? Why

would this continue? How does

this teach responsibility and

independence? Proverbs 22:6

states, ―Train up a child in the

way he should go: and when he

is old, he will not depart from

it.” This simply means that we

should teach our children the

foundation of values, morals,

the laws of right and wrong, etc.

When they are older they will

remember.

Parents must let go and give

their ―children‖ to God!

“Where there is no vision, the people

perish . . .”

Sharing the “Word of God” and letting

His light shine before men is an essential

part of this ministry. Visionary Christian

Ministries through the production of this

monthly newsletter desires to reach ALL

people, saved and unsaved!

The “Word of God” is not a secret for

Christians, it is the road map that God

ordained for ALL people. Sharing, en-

couraging, laughing, praying, and most

of all, loving one another is a must for

this ministry.

We hope that God’s eternal love

seeps through to the reader as they read

and enjoy this newsletter.

Remember, your future cannot change

for the better without Christ!

God Bless You!

Salvation! Is this your Eternal Goal? God desires for all of us to be saved. It is not His desire that any should perish. Nevertheless, He also gave us free

will. Our Father desires us to make the decision of following Him or not.

Have you made that decision? When you take your last breath where will you spend eternity? Will it be Heaven or

hell? The end result will be based upon the choice you made!

It is my hope that you choose to follow God. If you make that choice today, you have to acknowledge that you are a

sinner. Then you must repent of your sins.

You must acknowledge that you believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died on the cross for you. It is as simple as

that! God hears you and God Saves you! If you have not made that decision today, please make it soon. Tomorrow is

not promised to you and waiting until later, may be too late!

Eternity is too long to be without God!

Scriptures for Salvation

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. John 1:12

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to

him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteous-

ness.
