Esso Annuitant Club Toronto North EACTN
Your annuitant club execu-
tive was delighted with feed-
back received on the recent
survey of our club activities.
Of the 490 members who
were sent our survey, we
received 172 replies (36%).
Input was received from both
active (82%) and inactive members (18%).
Based on the feedback we have received through this
survey, your executive team is moving to implement
some of the recommended changes and new programs.
As a result, we have already started planning the follow-
ing events:
The Spring Steak-out will take place on Wednesday,
May 30, 2012 in a new, larger venue—The Eagles
Nest Golf Course on Dufferin Street, north of Major
Mackenzie Drive. We will also be celebrating the
25th anniversary of our Esso Annuitant Club Toronto
North.
We have reserved seats at the Stage West Theatre in
Mississauga for Wednesday, March 14, 2012. We will
enjoy lunch and the matinee performance of “All
Shook Up”.
We are also looking at a railway excursion in the fall
of 2012 on the Credit Valley Explorer, Southern On-
tario’s most scenic rail tour.
Let me assure you that the executive team has taken all
of your input and comments very seriously. Any member
who specifically requested feedback will be contacted di-
rectly in order to ensure that their concerns are under-
stood and dealt with in the appropriate manner.
Thank you again for participating in the Member Survey
and for your ongoing support of the EACTN Annuitant
Club.

Did you know that our Esso An-nuitant Club Toronto North will be celebrating its 25th year in June 2012. Our Annual Spring Steak-Out Dinner will be the celebration event of the Club’s 25th anniversary.
To accommodate what we anticipate will be a very good turnout from our now 490 members; this popular event will take place Wednesday, May 30, 2012, beginning at 6:30 pm at the beautiful Eagles Nest Golf Club in Ma-ple, Ontario.
The venue provides a large dining area with 18 ft vaulted ceiling plus a wrap around terrace overlooking the golf course and pond.
We plan to have as many of the founding executives and past presidents pre-sent as possible.
Please mark your 2012 calendars and plan to attend this special event to mark the occasion of our silver anniver-sary.
Contact Murray West by e-mail by clicking his name if you have any questions about
this important milestone event.

In order to more easily compare the responses to both our existing programs and the “new ideas”, we have ranked and graphed them using 5 points for “Excellent”, 3 points for “Good”, 1 point for “Poor” and 0 points for “Would Not Participate”. For the events and regular programs offered during our 2010/2011 fiscal year, the relative ranking of responses are shown in the graphs on this page.
We received several valuable suggestions to further improve our programs and your executive team is moving to implement a number of these suggestions.
In order for us to consider new programs that would be met with support, our members were asked to rate their level of interest for 18 proposals. The relative ranking of responses is shown in the following chart. At this time, we are giving serious consideration to implementing the programs that ranked over 2.0.

The level of interest amongst our members was also requested regarding an event that would extend over two or three nights. Seven possible cities were included in the survey together with the 3 types of activity and alternate costs of the event. The relative rankings of these proposals are shown in the two graphs be-low. A question on what cost would you be prepared to pay per person was asked and $600 total cost re-ceived 47% response; $800 received a 37% response and $1000 received a 16% response.
In 2009 we developed a new website and we continued in 2010 to make improvements in its design and function. Also in 2010 we created a quarterly newsletter intended to inform our club members of upcoming events and news. Our members level of satisfaction with these methods of communications are as follows
