• Complex carbs (starches) help with digestion
• Simple carbs are sugars
• Helps regulate body temperature • 3 types: saturated, unsaturated and trans • Saturated = meat and animal products • Unsaturated = plants, foods and fish• Trans = margarine
• Essential fat for men is 4% body weight • Essential fat for woman is 10-13%
