Jakarta, the capital and the largest city in indonesia, with a population of approximately 10 million, is the center for commercial activity.

high per capita income, dominant middle class and rising purchasing power have accentuated the demand for contemporary retail, paving an opportunity for international retailers in the city. overtime, shopping malls have seen improved occupancy owing to relocations and entry by international retailers. there are a number of shopping malls present and under construction that will provide options for expansion across the city.

The official metropolitan area, is known as Jabodetabek, a name formed by combining the initial syllables of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, tangerang, bekasi. the population of Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek Region) is 28.02 million.

Plaza Indonesia was the first high-end shoping center in Indonesia to open in 1990. Plaza Indonesia is located in the prominent corner of Jakarta’s famous landmark, the selamat datang (Welcome) statue in Central Jakarta. there numerous international and luxury fashion brands including Christian louboutin, balenciaga, emporio armani, tiffany, Versace and many more.

Plaza Senayan is an upscale shopping center in Senayan, Central Jakarta which opened in 1996. It offers diverse range of high-end shops and services. this mall is currently one of the most popular spots to see and be seen in Jakarta, and it is truly a refection of Jakarta’s mall culture. Senayan City is an upscale shopping mall in Senayan, Central Jakarta. It is part of a mixed-use development of a shopping center, an office tower, and an apartment tower. GRand indonesia

Grand indonesia shopping town is currently the biggest shopping center in indonesia with the total net lettable area of approximately 150,000 sq.m. the mall targets the upper market segment groups. the Grand indonesia complex comprises Grand Indonesia Shopping Town, Hotel Indonesia – Kempinski, Kempinski Residence, and Menara BCA Office Tower.

PaCifiC PlaCe

The Pacific Place Jakarta is another high-end shopping mall located in the Sudirman Central Business District, South Jakarta. It is part of a mixed-use project, which comprises Pacific Place Mall, One Pacific Place office tower, Ritz-Carlton Hotel, and Ritz-Carlton Private Residence.

Pondok indah mall

Pondok indah mall (Pim) is located in wealthy Pondok indah suburb of south Jakarta. it consists of two large malls, the older 3-storey PIM 1 and the newer 5-storey PIM 2, which are interconnected via pedestrian shopping-bridges.

mal kelapa Gading is a modern shopping and entertainment center located in kelapa Gading, north Jakarta. kelapa Gading is an integrated residential area targeted toward the middle to upper market. mal kelapa Gading Complex consists of mal kelapa Gading 1, 2, 3, and 5 and also includes la Piazza, a structure dedicated to restaurants and cafes.

located in West Jakarta, mal taman anggrek was once southeast asia’s largest shopping mall when opened in 1996. the mall also boasts Southeast Asia’s first indoor ice rink, which continuously draws crowd from various parts of the city. The mall is part of a mixed-use complex with eight condominium towers.

CentRal PaRk

Central Park in West Jakarta is a mixed-use complex, including a shopping mall, an office tower, 3 condominium towers, and a Pullman Hotel. The shopping center is anchored by Carrefour and Sogo Department Store, and house numerous well-known international fashion tenants and global brands.

emPoRium Pluit

Emporium Pluit Mall is part of a mixed-use complex, called CBD Pluit, which consists of a shopping mall, condominium, and office towers. Located in the residential area of Pluit, North Jakarta, Emporium Pluit targets the middle-upper segment. The mall is anchored by Carrefour and sogo.
