NOVEMBER 7: “The Frog Prince” LCA’s Drama Department will be performing a portion of their fall show, “The Frog Prince.” It is such a joy to worship with your students! Mrs. Gerber does an amazing job leading them, and the kids sing and dance their hearts out. It is always a great way to start a service! For our lesson today, Jacob did an awesome job closing our month on contentment. We began chapel like we do every week, by reciting that this year we are going to try to learn more about loving God, loving life, and loving others. Today, we did this by learning about the story of the Israelites in Exodus 16 and Exodus 17. In the story, God commands the Israelites to only collect the amount of food they needed for one day, but the Israelites disobeyed his commands. The main idea related to this story was that we should not “miss out on what we have now.” Jacob began his lesson with an awesome illustration where students had to follow his instructions, and he also challenged the students to think about things that they should not miss out on right now. It was a great day in chapel! Jacob Thompson Jacob Thompson is a hip- hop artist and speaker out of Minneapolis, MN.
