A twilight series draft

What if Bella picked Jacob Black, Were wolf, instead of Edward Cullen,

vampire. This story tells of what couldve happened if Bella chose Jacob

in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Edward and Jacob are forced to work

together once again but as allies. I dont own any twilight books,

Stephanie Meyer does.



Chapter 1

I am Bella Swan. Our world is a world of fantasy and fairytales but I bet

you didnt know that. My ex-boyfriend, Edward, is a vampire. But Idecided to choose the considerate and not overprotective Jacob. Jacob

is part Were-Wolf. He can change into a beautiful red Were- Wolf when

he is angry.We live in Forks Washington, a cold and clammy place. He is

in a pack of about 5 wolves, Sam, Quill,Seth, Leah, and Jacob. Sam is

practically married to Emily, shes human like me.

In the past 3 years I have experienced love, death, mysteries, and fear.

The fear of not only death and vampires coming to kill me, (We had a

vampire, a bad one, victoria trying to kill me. Edward killed James, her

mate. She thought it was fair to kill me,) But also the fear of loving

again. Jake and I have been friends since my dad moved to forks when I

was young. Apparently he has loved me since the day he saw me. After

Edward left to be with his family, Jacob started to show his feelings for

me and I showed them back.

I sat in his arms. Do you remember when I told you about Emily, and

the scar? his voice seemed a whisper in my ears. Yeah, I said, he

shook his head. You have to understand something. If I get angry over

something, my wolf instincts pop in. That means if youre standing

close, I shook my head, You wont. I know you Jake, I breathed.

When I transform, I have no control of my surroundings. If you see me

get angry I need you to walk away and go get Sam immediately. You

have to know I love you even if I turn. I understood completely. That

happened to Emily. Sam got to close. Now theres a scar on her face.

Okay, I understand.



Everyone went out to find a juicy animal to hunt. They only hunt deer.

Jake and I were walking into the beautiful forest behind his house. I felt

safe and I knew he would do anything to protect me and do anything to

save me. Shouldnt you be hunting? I asked. No Im fine, really. I

took a step away from him, to be funny. He laughed, Really Im okay. I

wanted to talk to you about something. I was surprised, he never

missed a hunt. Shoot. So you know its been 3years together and

you know were both 18 now. What is he thinking? We stopped

walking. Jake? I asked Its just, that I wanted to ask you something.

I could tell he was nervous. He was avoiding eye contact.He got down

on one knee in front of me. Bella the only way I can express what you

really mean to me is by telling you. You are my life. I would and will do

anything to have and keep you by my side. I love you Bella, Im in love

with you. Isabella Swan, will you do the great honor of marring me,

Jacob black, become Mrs. Isabella Black? wow I was amazed at the

powerfulness of his words. I had only one response. Yes! he stood upand kissed me until I couldnt breathe. He showed me a sparkling

looking diamond wedding ring. I want you to have this. He slipped it

on my ring finger of my left hand. Umm, I paused, We have to tell

Charlie. Charlie is my dad. He is a laid back guy who is friends with

jakes dad. It should go fine. I hope.

Meanwhile, the pack was back from the hunt already. Hey what are

you guys doing out here, said Quill, jakes best friend with a smile. It

looks like he knew already. Boys, I did it. Everyone was curious except

Quill. He took my hand and held it to their faces, Nice, and

Congratulations was all I heard. Sam pulled Jacob aside while the

boys still congratulated me. You have to be careful; if you hurt her



shell never forgive you, I heard Sam say, Jacob came back with, I am

being careful, and I wont hurt her, I can control it. I now realized they

were talking physically.

Chapter 2

We decided to tell Charlie right away before he saw the ring. As we

walked into the house, Hey Jake, nice to see you again, I hope he says

yes. Hey dad, can Jake have dinner with us? He was fine with it. We

went to the diner we always ate at. Charlie wasnt the greatest cook. I

always cooked for him or he came to the diner, steak and onions, the

same every night for Charlie. I got a salad, and Jake got a small

sandwich. Jake and I sat across from Charlie. Sorry to crash the party,

but I have a question for you. I looked at Charlie and took his knife. It

was just precautionary. Jake started again, Now that were both 18

now, um I asked Bella something Ive been waiting to ask, for a while

actually. Charlie paused and stopped eating,I came to ask permission

to marry your daughter, sir, said Jake. Charlie didnt look surprised. He

stopped and stared for a while. He finally spoke, Bella, do you want

this? he asked me. I nodded my head, Yes I love Jacob and it seems

he loves me back. I grabbed jakes hand to be convincing. Well, Jacob

you have permission to marry my daughter, but on one condition. I

grateful this went this way. He looked directly at Jake. He gulped. I

dont want any little Jacobs or Bellas running around, is that clear?

We shook our heads. He looked at me. Youre not pregnant right?they both looked at me, No. Charlie was a little excited. So, I

hopeyou got her a ring? I handed my hand to Jacob. Jacob, I have a

feeling Im going to like you even more! we all laughed.



The next week was hell. There was dress fittings and more. I cant wait.

My special day was going to be even more special than I imagined.

Luckily, Charlie and Billy refused to let us pay for anything. We would

be in debt if we had to pay this.

I came home one day to find Alice fitting Charlies tuxedo. We were still

friends with the Cullens. Ive been trying to get Edward and Jacob to be

friends. Charlie looked like James bond with a moustache. Swan,

Charlie Swan, he said like the movies as I walked into the living room.

You look great dad. He laughed fixing his collar, Dont flatter me bell,

it was all Alice. Alice looked at me, I had no part in this one, and hes

a natural, Alice sucked up. I have to get going to fit the boys in their

suits. Alice left swiftly and quietly. I gave Charlie a large hug, Thank

you dad. He held me in his arms, Hey its a good thing I like Jacob. He

is someone I can trust to love you. I laughed against his shoulder.

Jacob and I had one last night together being boy-friend and girl-friend.

We sat at the beach me in his lap. So, Mrs. Black, are you ready for

tomorrow? I leaned against his large shoulder. He kissed my neck and

his soft hair brushed my face, I really cant wait. He murmured

against my neck, Me neither. I laughed out loud. He held his head up,

I am so excited. I love you so much. I kissed his lips, I love you even

more. He chuckled, Oh Bella, Bella, Bella, your amazing. I took my

hand and ran it through his hair. After I did that I pulled his head down

to my neck and closed my eyes, Good night, Jakey. His breathing

soothed and Im sure I fell asleep.



Chapter 3

The big day arrived and I was nervous. I woke up to Charlie pulling off

the covers. I took a shower and met with Alice and Jessica. They mademe look fantastic, in Charlies words. The hair in a bun, the make-up

perfectly balanced, this was going great. My brides-made Jessica helped

me put on the dress. The dress had marvelous sparkles and sequels.

Jacob was going to love this dress.When the ceremony was beginning, I

peeked around the door. I saw Jacob standing with Quill and Sam. The

beautifully tanned Indian man who I was marrying stared straight in my

eyes. Everyone walked down and then it was my turn. You ready?said Charlie. I think the question is are you ready? We walked very

slowly as the music turned on. It was beautiful, the lights, flowers and

the scenery was perfect. The sweet smell of fresh flowers in the

sunlight was amazing. Are you sure about this? Charlie whispered.

Yes dad. I said. We passed my mothers reserved seat. She couldnt

come because of flight issues. I think Jakes taking me to Florida to see

her. We walked all the way down and all of a sudden I looked into his

eyes, and I wasnt nervous any more. He took my hand and I loved that.

Jacob, I need you to take care of her, shes all I got left, said Charlie.

Dont worry; I wont let her out of my sight, Jake said.

The minister started the long ceremony,Blah, blah, blah.Do you Jacob

Daniel Black take Isabella May Swan to cherish and hold, in sickness and

in health all that mattered was, I do. This is really happening. Doyou Isabella May Swan take Jacob Daniel Black to cherish and hold and

in sickness and in health? I loved him. I do! the minister looked at

Jacob and said. By the power invested in me, I now pronounce you

man and wife. Jacob you may now kiss your bride. He kissed me



sweeter then, o you get it. That was the most amazing kiss we shared.

We walked back to the church and went to the limo.

Party time!!In the limo there was Sam, Quill, Jessica, Emily, and me and Jake. We

had wine and champagne. I cant believe youre getting married.

Jessica said. We already are, said Jake. We arrived at the reception

seeing lights everywhere, all decorated by the wedding friends. We

posed so people could take pictures of us. There were too many

photographers, its a small town. We found Alice and she was reallyexcited. She pulled us to a collage she made of the pictures by the door.

This is my wedding present to you, she said. There were hundreds of

pictures. I saw one that brought me back to when I was younger,

hanging out with Jake on the swings, his long hair tangled in the chains.

I pointed to that picture and said, I remember that day, Alice where

did you find all these? I gave her a huge hug, she was still wired, and

Charlie found some old pictures he kept in the attic. We thought thiswould be a great present. We both agreed, That picture brings me

back, said Jake pointing to a picture taken at Arizona. We stood there

for a few minutes and then went to sit at our table.

We found that the wedding party had to sit at a long white table up

front. We were in the middle and it branched out like the wedding. This

was a moment to remember. We sat in the middle with the part around

us corresponding from end to middle. Jessica took the microphone and

started, I want to make a toast, a toast to the wonderful bride and

groom. We raised our glasses and toasted. She passed the microphone

to Charlie, oh great. I am proud to present my beautiful daughter,

Bella, and my new son in-law Jacob. Everyone clapped for us. After



my divorce with Renee, I moved to forks. I found the comfort and

friendship of Billy. I saw Bella every summer for a few weeks. She was

going through a tough time about her parents. Every night she used to

cry herself to sleep, I just wanted that to stop. I introduced her to Billysson Jacob and they became the greatest of friends. Somehow hanging

out with Jacob brought a comfort to her. She was happy with him. I

always dreamt at night that if I ever had a son in-law I would want it to

be a kind hearted and amazing man. Jacob is that man. Charlie came

up to the head table and shook Jacobss hand. He was crying a little. I

am very proud to have you as my son. I know you can take care of her.

Your love makes me want to squeal with delight sometimes. He talkedin a lower voice, Bella if I ever do that please shoot me. Everyone

laughed at that joke. I would like to have one last dance with my

daughter if you dont mind Jake.I danced with Charlie to the music we

picked out.We werent the best dancers, both with 2 left feet.

Amazing speech dad, thank you. We kept dancing, I worked on that

for hours last night, so I hope you liked it. He said with a great smile on

his face. After that I joined back at the table and waited for Jake to be

done with his dance with his step mom. He joined me and it was finally

our time to dance.

We slowly walked to the dance floor.My husband said, So who do you

thinks going to get wasted first? This was easy. Jessica, we both

said. She is my party goer and drinks pretty heavily. I love you Bella

Swan. Thats not my name. Dont you mean Bella Black? that soundsamazing. I love you Bella Black. Did you figure out where were going

for our honeymoon? I hope I was correct. I think were going to

Florida. He smiled, Your correct, wife, He kissed me, Husband, nice



to say, I wish you knew what I was thinking now. He murmured. He

picked me up from the ground and kissed me.

Just then Edward walked up. Did you-? Jake whispered to me. Yes,

be nice. I whispered. Congratulations. You found an incredible

woman. He stuck his hand for Jake to grab it. They shook hands.

Jacob, if you break her heart, youll get more than a foot up your ass.

His face was hard as stone. Thank you, Edward, for that reminder.

Although, Im not going need your assistance. I will be spending my

time mending it from about 3 years ago. He said calmly. You know, I

think Im entitled to at least one dance, maybe even before the

grooms. said Edward. He looked at Jake with a nasty smile. Listen, Ive

been trying for months to like you, for Bellas sake, but you wont let

me. Jake said and he gave him a right cross into his face. Edward got

up and stared him in the eye. Come on Jacob, I can take you. I

panicked. Jacob! I exclaimed as I snuggled next to him. He wont

transform with me there. Somewhere in their minds I hope Sam was

telling Jake to keep cool, for the secrets sake. Bella move, said Jacob.Charlie came up and pried jakes hands off of Edward. Please, Bell,

breathed Jake again. Edward, go! Charlie screamed. This isnt over,

he yelled. Jacob started after him but I stopped him. Jacob, please

dont do this. Not tonight. This is our night. He stopped and calmed

down. Our music came on. Im sorry, I shouldnt have done that. He

got into my head. May I have this dance? he extended his hand to me.

I grabbed his hand and he bowed. Youre so embarrassing. I said. Weformed our circle, Its a wedding, Bell, our wedding. You are the center

of attention tonight. I laid my head on his shoulder. It was the most

comforting spot on his body, as far as I knew. We had a great night



together. Everyone took as many pictures as they could with the

disposable cameras.

Chapter 4

We flew to Florida during the night, so we slept. I laid my head on his

shoulder and it felt perfect, his large and buff arms enclosing me in

warmth. If I couldnt move I would stay there till he pried me off. Iawoke to a landing plane. Nice timing. I guess my mom was going to

pick us up from the airport. I spotted her in the crowd, Mom! I

screamed. She leaped into my arms. Its so good to see you. Jacob

turned to Renee, Im Jacob black, Bellas husband. Jacob kissed her

cheek and she melted. I got to admit he is hot. Mom, hes taken. We

laughed. We stayed there for a few days then we drove north.

Apparently he had another surprise. Guess where were going?

Looks like Tennessee. Yes, the smoky mountains. I rented a

Shapleigh for a week. Well be all by ourselves, just the two of us. He

grabbed my hand, Im looking forward to a nice evening alone with

you, I couldnt resist. We got settled into the house. It was beautiful.

The walls were a nice tan, and there were pictures. We had a fireplace

with a nice TV, and a smooth couch. Then down stairs, was 1 bedroomwith dressers. There were 2 screen doors. The best part was that it had

a HOT TUB!!!! This was heaven. The first thing we did was unpack. It

was about 2:00, lunch time. We went into town to get groceries and



stopped at a diner. We ate there for lunch and did some sightseeing for

a while. For dinner my husband cooked.Jacob was an amazing cook.

The first night we each took showers ready for the day tomorrow. I lay

in bed. How is my beautiful bride doing? Jacob said after his shower. I

stared at him as he came out of our master bathroom. Im just fine,

hows your hand. He opened his hand and closed it, I got to admit, he

does have a hard face. Jake came up to the bed, I love you, I really do,

but I think we should wait. He was talking about sex. He wrapped his

arms around me. I just dont know what I would do, what would

happen. Its too dangerous right now; were in Tennessee without Sam

or anyone that could help if something happens. I just stared at him,

Jake do you really think you would hurt me? Like you said you dont

know what youre going to do, and you dont know what youre not

going to do. I understand, but can we at least try? I want to have

something normal with you and I know you want to. He hesitated. We

started kissing, his hands running all over my body, my hands in his

hair.But that didnt last. He pulled away. Bella, Im really sorry but Imnot comfortable about this. Sam keeps warning me about this. I cant.

We decided were not doing that until he controls his temper. We just

lay there together, hopefully some day we will have that experience.

Although it didnt go to plan I was still happy to be alone with my new

husband Jacob.

Chapter 5

Back in Forks Charlie and Billy, Jakes dad, picked us up from the airport.

So did you have fun? said Billy. Oh yes, a lot of fun, I said.I looked at

Jake he still had that look since that night, the dont joke; Im sorry

look.Charlie had a smile. You know I can hear you. I directed my



attention to everyone. Jacob, now that were married, do you think we

should move in together? he had a smile. You read my mind. He

looked at Charlie. Dad, Charlie gave him a look. Um, Charlie, can

Bella live me? I knew it was up to me. I knew this would happen. Hewhispered. Bella? he was if I wanted to again. I nodded. Okay.

We planned to move into the house with the pack during the week.

Schools out so I dont have that, but I do need my job. I work at pizza

hut. Im also going to college for a mythologist. As soon as we started

unpacking my stuff, the boys said, Its about time you moved in, Bella.Jacob said,Sam, I want to talk to you about the arrangements. I want

either me, you, or Quill with her when shes here. Sorry Paul cant trust

you. The others dont have control yet. He understood.

That night was the first night we slept there together. I got out of the

shower and found Jake shaving in the bathroom. This is going to be

fun living with a wolf. He came out, his face clear, Only if I dont get

angry. If Im angry one day, I need you to walk away from me. I kissed

him. He walked over to his dresser and leaned on it. You wont. I know

it. He was getting a little angry. Take the other night for example, I

cant control myself. I sighed. Jacob, you need to stop living in a what

if world. Stop worrying and just do it. If Im hurt Ill tell you. He looked

up, Promise? I nodded, he rushed over to me and began taking off my

clothes. His hot body against mine was so sweet. Finally we went all theway and he didnt lose his cool, thank god. It was truly amazing for our

first time.

I woke to laying in my princes arms. I was sweating and my sweat

traveled to his body. His body temperature was a little too warm for a





support ourselves together. We were at the store. Well talk later. I

said as Charlie pulled up in his truck. Charlie nice to see you here, said

Jacob. You to Jake, he said. I heard Sams going to be a daddy.

Yeah its about time, Said Jacob. We talked for a little bit more. Thenwe went inside to shop.

The party was great. The whole school came over and trashed the

place. All my friends and Jacob combined was more than expected.

There were a few fights that got out of hand, but the boys cleaned it

up. The one fight I will never forget. It was between the boys at school.

They knocked over my statue of the wolves Sam got me. That meant a

lot to me. I ran into our bedroom and cried. Jake came in and held me,

his shirt off meaning he went for a run. Dont worry we took care of

them. He said finally after I quieted down. He rubbed my back and I

shivered. He knew every spot that I shivered on.

The next morning, I had to take a pregnancy test. I always take it after

great nights. I looked at it and it was a positive. This is not happening to

me, not now. Charlie is going to kill us! I have to tell him though.

That night Jacob was working on his bike. I decided to tell him then. He

was always calmer there. Hey sweetie, can we talk? he stopped and

came out from under the bike. Sure whats up? I was nervous.

Please dont be angry. Not at me, yourself, or life. Promise? he was

clueless. I promise. I took his hand. Jacob, I paused.Im pregnant.

His smile turned blank to angry. What? he said evenly. He picked up

his stress reliever and threw it. His eyes were watering. Sam came

running out of the house, Jacob, stop. Think it through, calm down.

He turned to me and kissed my forehead. I love you. I replied, I love



you too. Please dont leave me. Jacob hugged me and just held me.

Why would I leave you? I can be frustrated all I want, but it doesnt

change anything. He was going to have a hard time with this.

Chapter 8

That night we took a walk through the woods after he came back. Jake

please, I dont hate you for anything. You didnt do anything. I still and

always will- Love you, I know. He was tearing again. Jake, I

grabbed him and hugged him. Im sorry, he sobbed in my shoulder. Ilove you, were going to get through this. But you have promise me

youre not going to run away from everything I say. I need you

sometimes. He waited a few seconds. Its not as easy as it sounds,

babe.A horrible pain came to my side. Jake, I whispered. Bella,

whats wrong. My Side, I managed to say. He picked me up and

carried me all the way to the house. He laid me on the ground in front

of the door. Sam! he came running from inside. Take her to the

hospital. I heard Jacob say, Be careful, shes pregnant. They had to

get me to safety. I looked over and I saw Jake rubbing his hair. Ill meet

you there. He started to run off. Jacob! I yelled in pain. He stopped

and transformed back into a human. He took my hand, Thank you. I

told him.

They checked me in and looked at my side. There was a large bruise. It

was black and blue turning purple. Jacob sat at my side. I reached up to

rub his face,Thank you Jake. I told him. It was hard but, I managed.

Just then I heard my dad say, Bella! Sam called, In here. He burst





Edwardlooked at me. Jacob inched closer and put his hand around my

waste. Congratulations, he said. Whats the news? Jacob said with

greater intensity. Carlisle and I took a trip to Rome last year. I read

Eros mind, he is sending 2 vampires to steal your baby. What? Whywould they do this? Your child will be powerful because I am a part of

this baby. This baby could be a vampire and wolf mixed. Eros is

planning on using them for evil. Jacob looked at me with his dark eyes.

I spoke finally. Are you sure because if youre lying- he took his hands

in a gentle motion to calm me. I wouldnt lie to you about this. Youre

going to need help protecting her when it comes, Jacob, when is it

due? Jacob said, A few weeks. Edward shook his head and walkedaway. You didnt tell me that, Jake said as he left, I didnt even know

we did. Are you sure? I nodded. You have to ask me that?Jake

screamed after Edward, Youre dead to me, even more!

Chapter 9

So the news is great, Im going to get my child taken away from me by

vampires. It wont be long now until the baby comes. This is not the

first time it happened though. Ive seen things you couldnt imagine.

Ive been fought over and much more. As we were walking home, So,

are you okay to talk? he nodded slowly. Yeah, I want to talk names. I

can understand that. If its a girl, I think I like Sara Marie Black, and a

boy, Jason James Black. He sent me a beautiful smile. I was thinking

for a boy also could be Jacob Michael Black. A girls name could be- Iwant a boy. We laughed and I punched him in the arm lightly. I have a

doctors appointment tomorrow so well find out.



We drove to the doctors office. I was about to break down nervous like

a pencil. So Bella, what do you want; a boy or a girl? Ive known this

answer since I was 12. I want a boy. I said as we sat in the waiting

room. I looked down at the floor. This was uncomfortable. Jacob tookmy hand. Its ok. Were going to be fine. I knew with him there it

made everything better. Charlie is meeting us, but he is not coming in.

Isabella Black. The lady called. Time to go, said Jake. He helped me

up from the chair. Just as we were walking in to the office, Charlie came

in. Ill be out here. The office was small with a table and a chair for

Jake. There was a monitor. He doctor introduced herself as, Dr. Sara

Breen. She was very positive. She came in and put jelly on a stick thing.The coldness of the stick made me shiver. This is going to give us a

picture of your baby. We looked and we saw a very small blob of a

baby. Their heartbeat was amazing,Thud , thud , thud . Wow, Said

Jacob almost a whisper. You have a healthy son, congratulations, said

the doctor.Jake kissed me on the forehead. I love you. I said to him.

As soon as we step foot out the door way, I saw Charlie pacing,Typical

Charli e. He rushed to us, Is everything okay? Everythings fine, I

said. Were going to have a very healthy boy, said Jacob. It will only

be 3 weeks until the baby comes. Have you picked out any names

yet? asked Charlie. I think weve decided on Jacob Michael Black,

Said Jacob. We could call him J.J for Jacob Junior, Thats a great

name, Bella, I like it, said Charlie. He extended his hand for Jacob to

shake. Congratulations, son, said Charlie Thank you, does this

mean? said Jake. No, Charlie spat. Jacob shook his head. Course

not.

That night we couldnt sleep. I was ecstatic. I am going to have a

beautiful son. I think Jessica should be his godmother, I said after I



noticed he was up. She would love that. He said. You have to pick

the godfather. I told him. I think it should be quill. I knew he would

pick him.J.J isnt going to need god parents, though. We are going to

cheer for him at graduation, and dance at his wedding. Jake pulled meclose. Lets get you some rest; we have to talk to Edward tomorrow. I

laid my head on his stomach and we put our hands on J.J. Night

buddy, said Jake. I had a feeling my son is going to be a daddys boy.

The next day we decided to meet at the same spot in the woods. J.J

will be here in about3 weeks if all goes to plan. I told Edward, J.J, as

in? As in Jacob J.R, Said Jake with a nasty attitude. You can stay at

the packs house so Charlie wont know, said Edward. We can protect

you easier there. Jake said, The boys will help you; Ill stay with my

family. Meaning J.J and I. It was set; we will use Alices visions

(Edwardss sister) to predict when they will come. All we have to do is

to wait for J.J.

Jessica and I went shopping for clothes. We were in JC Penny when I

held up a pair of a babys jumper, Thats so cute, Said Jessica. I know,

right. I said. Jessica said,Why are you looking at baby clothes any way,

its not like your- she looked at me. I shook my head and winked my

eyes at her. Thats not true. I said. Her face lit up. What! she

screamed. She rushed and hugged me. Does Jake know? Shes going

to love this, Yeah. So, now that you know, I have a proposition. Do you

want to be Jacobs god mother? she freeked. She jumped on me.

Careful. She stopped, I would love to. God mother is down, Eeek!

She screamed.

We pulled Quill out to tell him. We all sat at the kitchen table. Quill, so

Bella and I want to ask you something. He didnt know anything. We



want you to be Jacobss godfather. He was stricken, Jake, really?

Yeah, you up for it? Jake responded. Thank you so much. I would

love to. They both got up and hugged each other. Then Quill hugged

very quiet. We all knew we had to tell Jessica before she sees a scary

looking baby.

Jessica and I went out to a movie. That was the best place to tell

her.But after would be the best time to talk. We walked back to the car.

Hey Jessica do you think we could meet with Jake? she said it was

fine. We drove to the secret spot in the woods. Jake would be there,

human form. Jacob was pacing when we got there. I stood next to him,

Do you remember when the police thought were hunting the bears?

Jake said. Jake literally picked me up and moved me next to Jessica. He

then jumped into his wolf. Jessica gasped and backed up. They werent

bears. I said, Hes on the good side. Jake moved his head down so

she could pet him. She did very lightly, and then Jake ran off into thewoods to find his clothes. But, how? she said. There is a genetic

makeup of a wolf. Sam, Quill, Leah and Seth are also. Jacob returned in

human form, Im sorry we kept this from you for so long. The thing is

you cant tell anyone, especially Charlie. If Charlie knew I would

probably be dead. And thats not an understatement. We sat on a

rock. I wont hurt anyone. The only thing we kill is v- I interrupted.

Not our secret to share. Then the pack slowly came out of thedarkness in human. Is this why you picked him instead of Edward? I

this is because J.J will become a wolf at 16. She was so startled she

Chapter 10

I was doing the dishes when a large pain struck my side. Was this it? I

felt water at my legs. Jacob! I screamed. He came in, Whatswrong? he saw me on the ground and took me straight to the hospital.

We rushed into the emergency room. We were the first to be serviced.

Oh it hurt so much. Ill call Charlie, said Jake. Push.The doctor said. I

was pushing as hard as I could. I heard a cry of my son. He was the

cutest thing ever. 7 pounds, 8 ounces he was. A nice skinny boy I can

call my son. Just then Charlie rushed in. He was stunned. I would do

anything for this boy. Would you like to hold your son, mom? Inodded. He passed him from Jake to me. Jake held him for a second,

kissed his nose and passed him to me. He fit right in the crook of my

arm. Jacob Michael, mommys got you, mommys here. I cant believe

Im a mother now. I knew this boy would change the world someday.

We were all amazed. Charlie actually hugged Jacob. They were getting

along again finally. Jacob and Charlie took over so I could sleep. Wow. I

am amazed at the sight of him. A half vampire, Were - Wolf and human

baby.

Chapter 11

We brought him home a week later. The fight would begin soon, so we

told Charlie we were going to get the rest of the boxes from the house.

Everyone went out to defend the house in the woods. Jacob, J.J and I

were alone in the house. J.J and I fell asleep at about 6:30, While Jake

stayed up to listen to the fight through mind communications. Jake

woke me up about 10:00 and said the fight was starting. There are

2vampires both boys. There southwest in the woods, next to the water



barrels, Deep inside I had a bad feeling. Is everyone okay? Yeah, but

Quills got a bad hind leg. Ones close. I can smell her. I want you to get

inside the bathroom. NOW, Just then he transformed into the wolf.

The wolf I loved. I locked myself inside the doorway and sat in thebathtub. I heard a snarl, I wasnt sure it was Jake or the vampire. There

was some tossing and turning. At one point someone was thrown into a

tree.There was the sound of feet running toward the fight and, Jacob

duck! I heard. It was Edward. Theyre helping each other. There was a

Boom,then more rustling and a whi ne. It was Jake. I peeked out the

crack of the door. Jake was cringing in the corner. He was in normal,

human form. The look on his face was horrible. I looked over at Edward,still fighting. They were going back into the forest so I went out to help

Jake.

I snuck out next to him and crouched at his side. Bella, he said in pain,

Jake, Im right here. I told him, Jake- he tried to say. Hes fine, right

here. I love you! U to, He tried to say, but he passed out cold. Jake,

I shook him, Jacob! I screamed at him. I hit his chest. Here I am now,looking at my barely alive wolf husband. I hope Carlisle can help him.

He needs to be okay. He fluttered back to life. I cried on his chest.

Youre supposed to protect me, from anything. Dont leave me. I said.

Not for a second. He said. Meanwhile, Edward was back from the

fight. It looks like he won. He had a few bruises, but that healed fast.

Carlisle was here instantaneous. He studied for medical assistance. It

looks like we have to re break his bones.

I gave Jacob Michael to Uncle Quill. We laid Jake on the bed and

Carlisle began,Crack, crack, crack. He started with the ribs. Jacob

screamed louder than anything Ive ever heard. I took his hand and I

squeezed it so he would know I was here. But he squeezed back and



almost tore my hand off. Billy put his hand on my shoulder telling me to

pull away. That was his signal that he was okay. It was just me, Billy and

Carlisle. Carlisle gave him 4 shots of penicillin. He didnt quiet down for

the next few breaks. I couldnt imagine how he felt, the pain and agony.It was much worse than when I got bit by a vampire. Edward sucked it

out, dont worry. Jacobss bones on the whole right side of his body had

been broken.

Chapter 12

Carlisle wanted to monitor his status, so we had to stay at the Cullen

house. Of course Jacob didnt like that but, if it keeps us safe and him

healthy, he cant disagree. I knew everyone there so it would easy for

me. Sam is going to watch the house if we need help. Jacob will have a

harder time, but hell be fine. We set Jake on the couch. Are you okay,

do you need anything? Esme said. Carlisle answered for him, He

needs to drink a lot of water now. It may be the healthiest thing for him

now. She went to get a glass of water. It was about 2:00 in the

morning so I curled up on the other couch and went to bed. Jake lay

with Jacob on his chest. Carlisle, I dont want them fighting. I told

him. I slept until 6:30 when Jacob woke me up giving me J.J. They were

both up and the baby needed to be fed. Are you okay? I asked my

husband. Hes in good condition,but itll be a few days before Im

letting him out of my sight, said Carlisle liking his lips.It seems them

getting along isnt so hard.

Edward was in the kitchen. I walked in. He was looking out the window,

Hey, can you tell me something? he snickered, I can read minds,



anything you want. He said. I gulped, be strong. Why cant you look at

me? It makes me feel like I betrayed you or something. He sighed, Do

you really want to know. I was desperate. Yes. He sighed and looked

in my eyes. When I look at you, it reminds me of what we had. We hadthe greatest bond, the best love. It hurts me to know that I wasnt good

enough for you. I stopped him, Edward, you have to respect my

decision. You are good enough for me, but Jake is the one who I love

more, your overprotective thats all that sets you apart. Whoever told

you that is wrong. I paused. Enough of this sweet talking, Edward I

have to know, whats next for the battle. I asked, my mother instincts

kicking in. It looks like they might come back. Thats why werekeeping you here. If Jacob cant protect you then we will. We will take

the risk to save the child who will turn werewolves and vampires allies.

I knew he would do something great one day. Is that true? Did Alice

see that? he nodded, Your child will change the whole mythical

world. We will stop Dylan, the leader. He stopped. He sniffed the air. A

worried look came upon his face. He went out to the living room, Do

you smell that? they all said yes, Theyre close, Said Emmett. Bella,

come here, Said Jake in his powerful voice. The others went out to

search the areawhile Edward stayed to protect us. Who would think

those words would ever be spoken? Im glad their working together

though, thats all that matters, our safety.

Chapter 13

I lay with my boys on the couch. Edward was watching the windows

and listening to the Cullens thoughts. Jacob was listening to the

wolves thoughts.Did you hear that? said Jacob, his senses alert.

Edward ran in front of me. It was Dylan. This time he had blood



dripping from his teeth, thirsty with attitude. Jacob rolled me and J.J

between the couch and him. The vampire charged at Edward, his claws

digging on Edwards shoulders. He just barely touched Jake. Enough I

could feel him shiver. Jacob pulled us closer to him. Edward pushedDylan into the coffee table. Smash. Edward stood waiting for him to

attack. Dylan stopped. He turned to leave, Wait, this is your only

chance Dylan. You hate those wolves, right. Well heres your chance,

theirs one right here. Edward! I screamed. What was he doing?

Dylan charged once again. I hid my head behind Jake. Jake lifted his arm

and stopped Dylan in his tracks. Edward caught him. They tumbled,

Edward on top. He snapped Dylans neck. Edward bit into his neck andtore it off, right in front of us.I was stunned. It had been about 3 years

since my last fight. It was clear Edward had practiced. Now Dylan was

dead and nothing can hurt us.

Chapter 14

That night Carlisle took off Jacobs bandages. He looked so much better.Carlisle said it was okay for him to transform. Ill only be a few

minutes. He was pale. Take your time, the more the better. Hey Sam,

you make sure he comes back to us. I told Sam. O hes in good

hands, said Sam. I said, I love you and be careful. I turned to leave

when, Bella, I want to show you something. Jake transformed right in

front and it took a minute for the bones to correct. He howled. Ahhh

woo.I knew we would be okay, Jacob, J.J, the mysterious world we livein and me. I cant wait for the day when he changes our lives. Come 16,

J.J will be a wolf and possibly a vampire.



Part 2

16 years later

The boys were in the garage working on their family project. Sam and

quill were over for a guys night. Jessica and I brought out lemonade for

the guys. Thanks babe. He kissed me. Ewe, Im standing right here,

said J.J, my son. He was naturally tan like his dad and had the same



build as him. O like you havent done it, said Jacob. J.J was our 16

year old son. Yeah, I saw you kissing Tamera, the other night. And I

heard it. Everyone laughed, You cant hide any secrets. Remember,

we hear everything you do, we think everything you do.J.J and Jakehad an amazing relationship. He was a wolf and vampire. This may be

weird but its like he has almost two dads.

That night, Jake started a fire in the pit. The Cullens all came over along

with Billy, Jakes dad and Tamera. Jessica was here, she has proven

worthy of the secret. Tonight was story night. Every weekend Billy told

different stories of their fighting past. Tonights was the first time J.J

would hear of the one to protect me and the first for Jessica. It was, 16

years ago this date, when a marvelous companionship happened. The

first wolves and vampire allies plan first showed that day. Billy started.

Young Jake here was only born a few weeks ago. A deadly and evil

vampire sent out two very strong and wise vampires to capture young

Jacob.My son and Sam joined forces with the Cullen clan. His main

enemy, Edward, saved Jacob from being ripped to shreds. Edwardfake lunged at Jacob to be funny.Jacob wrapped his arms around me

playing the game. Jacob raised his hand, Sorry dad but can I say

something, if Edward wasnt there to save us, and defeat the other

vampires, us three wouldnt be here. I cant believe how they got

along. So, anyway, what happened was this, w e l ear ned of the

vampir es comi ng a f ew w eeks befor e J.J was bor n. The fight start ed 2

d ays aft er he came home. I shooed Bella and baby Jak e i nto the bathroom whil e I took guar d at the d oor, the bad vampir e; I beli ev e his

name was Danny, fought me. But I l et him get i nto my head . He was

abl e to wrap his arms around my bod y. He crack ed each one of my

ribs. He stopped. I put my arm around jakes back. Edward picked up, I



screamed at him to get up and fight but he couldnt. I knew I had to

keep fighting. I picked up where he left off. By that time I saw Jak e

cri ngi ng and shaki ng. I ran out to help him, but I coul dn t d o anythi ng.

We stared into the fire. I r emember him aski ng wher e J.J was. Therewas a slight sob in my voice.Jacob took over. I passed out for a mi nut e,

but f elt a short pai n i n my chest and wok e to Bella, cryi ng, t elli ng me

that I can t l eav e her. I woul d nev er l eav e her. Now Carlisle added, We

had to re break his bones. Jacob told this part, I was in the worst pain

of my life. I screamed at the top of my lungs, loud enough that my voice

was gone the next day. I held his hand, Hey Carlisle that penicillin

didnt help a bit. We laughed. I started again, The Cullens protectedus when our family couldnt. As a matter of fact I remember a certain

saying that someone told me. I looked at Edward.This is the first time

Ive told anyone. Edward and I were talking in the kitchen about the

fight.Edward was smirking, This is what my ex- vampire boyfriend

said, and If Jacob, my arch enemy, cant protect you then we will put

our differences aside. We will risk our lives to save yours. You too are

tooimportant to lose. You have brought an end to an old rivalry

because you couldnt stand losing either of us. Jacob stood, Jacob. I

warned, Relax Bell. He shook his hand, Thank you. Edward nodded.

That was my favorite saying. Honestly Ill never forget that saying. I

never thought Edward of all people would say that. Jacob continued,

Just after that happened, Dylan, the other bad vampire, came into the

house and fought Edward. I smiled, I remember my favorite part was

when Jacob rolled over to protect us. Jacob elaborated with a big

smile, its not what you think, he looked at Billy. Billy sat in his

wheelchair with a smirk on his face. Okay we were lying on the couch,

the three of us. I rolled over toward the side of the couch in pain and to



protect them. Dylan charged at my back and there was a creepy touch

of his hand as he got a little too close before Edward pulled him away. I

actually have a scar of it on my back. J.J was amazed. Jacob stood and

took off his hoodie and showed him an ugly scar of Dylans hand, NowI will always have a memory of that awful day. J.J turned to Edward,

and You actually did that, to save my mom? Edward looked at me,

Not just your mom, but your, he hesitated, Father and you. Your

mother has the sweetest blood Ive smelled. It took me a long time to

get over her. He stopped, Thats basically the only thing we fought

over, Bella. I was jealous that she chose him, than me. If we didnt have

this rivalry of natural enemies or even our feelings, I think we wouldvebeen best buds, like today. Edward and he slapped a hi -five. They

were surprisingly the best friends of the group.

We were packing up everything from the fire. I saw J.J and Jake shake

Edwards hands. The boys were saying there good byes to me. Jacob, J.J

and Edward walked up to me, So that went well. I said to them. Well

what did you expect from a couple of allies? said J.J. I actuallyexpected a big commotion, but It seems that wont happen, I said,

Right? Edward spoke, Bella theres not going to be a fight. Jake and I

are cool now. Im over you. It was about time.

The Cullen family left. There was only me, and the two boys in the

house. This was the first night I stayed alone with 2 ware wolves. We

were getting ready for bed, so I told J.J to brush his teeth. Usually hes

fine with it, but today, he said, Why should I, you dont, in a nasty

attitude. I immediately called Jacob. Hey baby, are you up for a run

tonight. Jacob rushed in, You need to talk to your son, Was all I said.

He knew it was time.He was 16 and his Wolf signs were coming

out.Goddamn it, where the hell is Sam. Jake its time to start living



your dream. Jake kissed me, Be careful. I told them. They left and I

hoped they would be okay. I know Jacob and he is not patient at all.

I tried to sleep that night but I couldnt. I had this fear that something

would happen. When something bad happens Jake was always there to

comfort me. Jacob finally came in at 3 in the morning. They were out

for 2 hours. He came in quietly, changed into his shorts and crawled

into bed. Im sorry, did I wake you? I lay on his chest like every night.

No, I couldnt sleep, J.J? Hes in his room, hes fine. I was relieved,

Thank god. How did he do? He did great. He is going to need Sams

help though. He is fighting it. We raised a strong headed boy. O he is

not a boy any more. No we raised a strong headed man. We laid there

for a few minutes and I fell asleep. His warmth was all I needed. He

wrapped me in his cocoon of arms and held me. I love it. Our love is as

powerful as a battery that lasts a life time.

Jacob was up bright and early to start training with Jake. Sam and Seth

were coming over to help. He needed me to be safe. Im not worried

about my safety, I was worried about theirs. Emily and I are going

shopping for the day with Jessica and Alice. That will keep my mind off

of the boys.There was a knock at the door. Come in Sam. He, Emily,

and Seth came in with donuts for breakfast. You didnt have to do

that. Jacob said as we handed them coffee. We gave hugs and slaps to

everyone. As soon as he set the donuts down they had to have been

gone in minutes. Sam leaned over to me, Dont worry, I have more in

the car, he said with a smile. Sam was like a grandpa to me, he always

brought presents and food. I think the 2 youngest were the ones who

ate the most, said Jacob while they sat at the table. We live with

and started tickling me. I think Im ready for my training, I heard J.J

say. The boys gathered there things while Jacob gave me one last kiss.

Sorry, I love you well be fine, by Em, as he scooted out the door.

Then there were 2, said Emily. Isnt he the cutest? I said doing the

kisses you, any girl would die for that. I nodded and said thank you.

Jessica and Alice are coming over at 9 to have breakfast. Then well

shoot out to the mall. Emily wiped off the table and said, Soundsgood, Ri ng, Ri ng. It was Edward.Hey. I answered my phone. Hey

Alice told me to call and tell you that shes going to be a little late.She

needed major hunting. I lowered the phone, Alice is going to be a

little late, she had to hunt, I told Emily. I raised the phone back to

Edward. Tell her to take her time, well wait for here. Edward was

there still, Okay, Ill tell her. He paused, You still there? He asked

me. I said, Yeah. I heard something fall. Is Jacob around today?

Sorry, hes helping J.J. Hes finally in the pack. Edward had a slight joy

in his voice. Wow, congratulations. O one more thing, is tonight a story

night? I nodded, Yes, same time. I heard a knock at the door. I got

Jessica walked in with high heels on, Are you sure you want to wear

In her shiny new car Alice pulled up into the dirt driveway. Jessica,

Emily and I were sitting in the garage. Sorry Im late. I needed a

first. We all laughed and we went on are way.

We shopped for 3 hours and then stopped for lunch. My phone rang. It

was Sam. Theyre done already? I said. I answered the phone, Hey

Sam. He was breathing heavily. We need you to get home now. O

no, Whats wrong, what happened? I panicked. Your son lost control

and attacked Jake. It was an accident but he is really hurt. Were taking

him to Carlisle. I looked at the girls with a worried and terrified

expression, We have to leave now. I got up and threw out my lunch.

What happened? asked Emily. Jacobs injured. I left it at that. No

one asked any questions the whole ride back.

We got to Carlisles house and I rushed in. Edward met me at the stairs,

Where is he? I said almost to tears. He just let me by with a sorrow

look. I rushed into the living room and found Jacob lying on a table. He

was all ripped up. There was blood everywhere. Carlisle and Emmitt

was over him pounding on his chest. Everyone was standing against the

wall astonished and out of breath. Almost everyones eyes were

tearing. I ran over to J.J and hugged him. He just pushed me off and

slowly walked over to Jacob and held his hand. As soon as J.J touched

him Jacob started to breathe. His eyes opened and he squeezed J.Js

hand. I rushed over to him and sat on the opposite side of him holding

his hand. J.J snuggled into jakes chest. Jacob just held him as J.J

murmured into him. I couldnt imagine how J.J felt. He has injured his

father badly. He couldve killed him. I went to talk to Sam while they

grieved. What happened out there? Sam stopped leaning on the wall.

The therapy we do is like anger management. Jacob was trying to give



J.J some life lessons and it got out of hand. I collapsed in his arms.

Thank you, youve always been there for us, I whispered.Sam

whispered back, I will always be. No need for a thank you.

I went and joined the boys again. Are you okay? I asked Jake. Jake

turned to J.J, Hey J.J can you get me water? He turned back to me,

Im fine. But hes not doing so well. He feels guilty, but honestly its

just nature. I took his hand. J.J was back with jakes water. Thank you

buddy, Jake said. Anything you need dad. Jacob looked at J.J I think

you should let Sam take you home so you can get cleaned up. Dad Im

not leaving you. Jacob grabbed J.Js hand. They were both on the verge

of tears. Jacob, its not your fault. Whats done is done and over with.

Dont live your life feeling guilty. Im a big boy I can handle it. Just

remember I love you. You have nothing to be sorry for. J.J just nodded.

His face was red from embarrassment and crying. Jacob pulled in J.J for

a hug. Jake really needed it. Sam came over and stood beside him.

Jacob pulled me into the hug. I love you both. J.J you better get going

if you want to beat the traffic. J.J slowly pulled away from us, Ill beback before you know it. J.J went out the door. Sam, thank you. Sam

just nodded and went on his way. Hey Carlisle we really owe you.

Carlisle came and sat on the couch. You dont owe me anything. Like

they say the gift is life. Hows your chest? Jacob touched, It doesnt

hurt anymore. Carlisle rubbed his fingers gently over his wounds, I

have a feeling that those will become battle scars. I would like you to

see a specialist, a cardiologist to be safe. He is a lifelong friend and heknows about our differences. I leaned on Jacob chest lightly, Thank

you so much. Youve all helped us in so many ways.

Once again Jacob had to stay there overnight for a few days. Now that

were all, grown ups we can finally get along. It was about midnight. J.J



was sleeping on the chair against the wall. Jacob lay on the couch, and I

slept on the chair. I knew J.J wouldnt leave his dad. They had an

amazing bond together. Bell, you awake? It was Edward. Yeah,

whats up? He came over and sat on the table in the middle, I need totalk to you about what happened today. I gave him a very startled

look. Alice saw a vision a day ago that had Jacob, J.J and an unknown

man. I looked into his eyes, Are we talking an unknown vampire? he

gave a straight answer, Yes. In Alices vision, J.J charged at Jacob, but

instead of J.J to be tearing him apart, it was the vampire. I was

stunned, Why didnt you tell me this? he looked in my eyes, Dont be

startled but it was someone who highly resembles, he paused andtook my hand, You.

I woke to Carlisle. Hey you have to get ready, were going to the

specialist today. I got up and got changed in the bathroom. I woke up

J.J and Sam. Did anyone hear me talking in my sleep? I said drowsily.

Unfortunately no, said Jacob. I looked at Edward, What does this

mean, I wasnt even there and I cant hurt a fly. Edward looked atCarlisle. Carlisle said, It could mean that a new power has been

released into the fictious world. But Im not sure why they didnt send a

memo. Jacob spoke, Unless the votaries are behind this,its a plot

against,well me. I looked at Edward, Edward what did they say when

you told them were no longer together? he looked into my eyes with

black eyes again, Eros said that she, meaning you, and her new family

must be killed because she knows all of our secrets. I stood, Did youfight that? Of course I did, but that was the final ruling. Jacob spoke,

Why didnt you tell us this? with anger in his deep voice. I saw J.J

stand up. Jake very slowly got off the couch with help from me,

Edward. Edward slowly came to his senses. I was trying to protect



you. I looked at him, Why even when were not together you still lie

to me? If you really wanted to protect me you should have stopped

them from going out there while you had a chance. Edward just stood

there looking down at the floor. I helped Jacob and J.J past him.Carlisle were ready.

We got into Carlisles car and started off. We had a long drive to

Bellingham Bay. I called Charlie just so he knows, I got his voicemail.

Hey dad um, Jake got hurt but Carlisles going to take him to a

cardiologist in Bellingham Bay. He is okay but Ill be back in town in a

few days. I love you. Hopefully he doesnt come after us. We were on

the freeway when I noticed a very particular car I knew, Carlisle why is

he following us? I said in a tone. Just because we kept it a secret

doesnt mean we cant still protect you.We had about 40 minutes

before we got to town. Carlisle can you pull over at the next stop? he

nodded and merged, Sure thing. We stopped at a rest stop. I saw that

Edward and the others pulled up beside us. Edward got out of the

driver seat before he stopped the car, Why are we stopping? heasked. Ill be right back, babe. I told Jake sleeping. I trudged my way

to the bathrooms. Of course Alice followed me. DAMIT, I screamed as

I went to the sinks. Why does your brother have to be such an ass all

the time? I asked her. She sighed. He was trying to protect you. I

sighed, Did he tell you to say that? she smiled and said, It doesnt

matter. Look we have to protect you in every way we can. We dont

know where this thing is. I was so mad, Why dont you test yourfreakish brother to see if he is our enemy right now.

Alice looked in my eyes. Carlisle says this cardiologist also has a

prevention shot. It prevents your data to be captured or copied. I

splashed some water on my face and walked out of the bathroom.



Edward was standing around the corner, Look Im sorry. I shouldve

told you, he said as he caught up to me. Damn right, the best way for

you to protect me is to tell me everything, no secrets. I thought you

mightve caught on to that but I guess I was wrong. We were outsidewalking across the parking lot. Is everyone ready? I asked as I climbed

into the car. Jacob was up. Whats wrong, what did he do? he was

about to jump out of the car but I stopped him, Jacob I want to know

everything, from the point you left the house. I want to hear it now. J.J

was in the front with Carlisle, Mom, I had a stern warning, Jacob.

He sunk back into his chair. We were back on the freeway. I turned

back to my husband. I looked at him with great intensity. He pulled meinto his arms. After I left the garage we went into the woods with

some equipment. Sam went to use a tree about 200 yards away. We

got to about the middle of the field and I noticed a figure. It wasnt Sam

or Seth. He lingered. But he eventually wandered off. I figured it was

someone from the reservation walking along the path. He looked out

the window. We started doing some training techniques with J.J. We

practiced for a few hours making good progress. We were packing up

everything and destroying evidence. J.J was about 3 feet in front of me.

Sam and Seth went to collect more things. There was a noise and I

noticed someone running towards me on my left side. He looked in my

eyes. I turned to look. I thought it was maybe Sam sneaking up on me.

Well I turned and I got a large body slammed into me. I opened my eyes

and found J.J laying on me and you were standing over us. But you

werent normal, you had blood on your mouth and you stank like

mushrooms. You picked up J.J and threw him into a tree hard. I called

for Sam. I tried to turn into my wolf but I couldnt. Somehow I think I

knew it wasnt you, but I couldnt take any chances. I heard Seth



running toward me and I passed out. The next thing I knew I was in the

Cullens house. I was stunned. I knew I didnt do that. By that time I

was with the girls at the mall. I tucked into his chest more. I think I

started crying.

We were in Bellingham. Jacob squeezed me,Were here. Do you want

a minute to yourself? I looked at him, No Im okay. I wiped my tears

the best I could. Carlisle was at the door instantaneously with jakes

crutches. He slowly got out of the car. Every one met at the car door. I

huddled together with Jacob. So whats the background on this guy?

asked Emmitt. Carlisle told us all, He is a vampire, but one like us. He

has been one of my oldest friends in college, although he does have a

very short temper. I would like the wolves and Bella to be in the middle

at all times. Sam didnt go with us on the trip so it was up to the

Cullens to help us. We walked to the apartment building in a group.

Jacob was on my left and Edward was on my right. J.J was in front of us.

Carlisle was leading the group with Emmett. Rosalie was on jakes left

side with Alice and Jasper behind us. We were enclosed in a full circle of vampires. We got to the door and we were greeted by a man in a white

doctor coat. It is so nice to see you john. Said Carlisle shaking is hand.

The feeling is mutual Carlisle, the man said in a slight British accent.

He welcomed us into his large apartment complex. The waiting room

was empty, somehow that scared me. Carlisle turned to us, This is Dr.

Jonathon Mattoons. We went to collage together. This is my children

Alice,Rosalie, Emmett, Jasper and Edward. He extended his hand toeveryone. Edward didnt shake his hand. Sorry, hes a little

untrustworthy these days. These are my friends who need your help.

He pointed to us, This is Bella, Jacob and J.J. he extended his hand out

to us. I hesitated on shaking it but Edward accidently bumped into my

counter and put his elbow down. Jake be still. He was nervous, he

doesnt like needles. Jake stared into my eyes, or was it Edwards? He

tensed up like Edward did. His face got pale and white but it only lasted

for a second. He joined me, You okay? I asked him, Yeah, Wewalked up to the table. I hesitated at giving Carlisle my arm, Dont

worry, Ill be right here. Carlisle took my arm and held it. He slowly

injected the venom. I faced Jacob. Jacob had his arms around my waist.

It felt like my arm was on fire. It burned up to my neck. I tensed up just

like the boys. I squeezed Jake as hard as I could. He just stood there

squeezing me back. You okay? Jake whispered. I kept squeezing,

Yeah, it just burns so much. We stood there, Its okay itll go away. I

pulled away and found it was J.Js turn, Carlisle, be careful with him.

Carlisle looked at me with a bright smile, I wouldnt even think

anything less. Carlisle injected my son with the formula. We were all

free of the hideous monster. Now all we have to do is destroy him, easy

enough right?Thank you so much, Dr. we appreciate your help. The

doctor led us out of the complex, Anytime Carlisle, anytime. We got

back to the cars and began our journey home.

I rode with Edward and my boys this time. The two boys were in the

back sleeping. Edward and I were awake in the front. Listen, Im sorry I

blew up on you yesterday. I guess I over reacted. Edward scuffed, You



could say that again. But apology accepted. I played with my ring on

my right hand. My mom got me that when I was young. Except, why

did you keep that from me? Edward moved in his seat and

accelerated, Like I said, to protect you. I stopped him, No, its morethan that and you know it. There has to be some other reason Edward.

Edward switched lanes. The real reason is that I was afraid, afraid of

what you would do. Alice said if I told you, you would go nuts and want

to go after that monster. Sometimes you need to let other people

handle other situations to protect you the only way they know how.

Jacob was awake now, Hey where are we? Edward answered,

Almost to Seattle. He huffed, Gees, we went that far already? heleaned forward on my seat, Are you okay? I replied looking in the

mirror, Im doing just fine. Now that youre up, I turned to Edward,

How do we track this vampire? Edward got off at an exit, There is

some kind of system Carlisle can find. We may have to go to the

votaries though. Jacob was wild, Dont you think they might try to kill

Bella though. They said she knew too much. Edward! he screamed.

Edward calmly kept driving. He looked in the mirror, We wont let

anybody touch you. You have my word. I replied, Edward youve done

so much for us. Thank you. Edward just smiled, No thank you until

its over please. He rested his hand on mine for a second and pulled

away. He probably read jakes mind. Fine if you guys go the pack goes

is that clear? Edward stopped at a red light, Thats fine. Its better if

they go.

We were on the road for a few more hours before we finally turned

into the familiar town. We drove the 40 minutes to get back to Edwards

house. We all regrouped with temptation of what to do next. Carlisle if

you go to the votaries, then the pack must come along, said Jacob.



Carlisle nodded his head, Very well, Jacob. Im hoping to go sometime

this week. We left the house to go to our own. It was late so I didnt

want to wake Charlie. The house was silent when we got there. The

first thing I noticed was that the house was a mess. In the darkness of the night, I could just barely make out the shape of someone sitting on

the couch. Jacob switched on the light fast and found that it was

Charlie. Dad what are you doing here? he stood and said, I wanted

to be here when you arrived from your adventure. Jacob stood in front

of me, Listen to me, I want you too to go back to Edwards, we forgot

something. Jacob winked as many times as we could. Arent you

coming with me? he kissed my cheek, I forgot to take out the trash.He turned away from me toward Charlie and punched him straight in

the face. GO NOW! he screamed to me as he turned to his wolf. J.J

and I hurried to get into the car. I pressed the gas pedal as far as it

would go. We were about 4 blocks away from the Cullens when

Carlisles black BMW drove past me at high speeds. I got a text from

Alice, saw a vision, and get to the house now! I ll be ther e with Esme. I

texted her back, her e now as we pulled into the driveway. I ran into the

house being greeted by Esme. She hugged me like a bear. Im glad you

to are safe, wheres Jake? We walked calmly into the living room,

Jake stayed to fight. We passed the boys so now I have relief, I said.

What did this thing look like? I gulped, Charlie. Esme put her hand

to her mouth, Oh my god, she gasped. Just then Esmes phone rang.

Hello? she asked. There was a faint but familiar voice, Carlisle. Hey

everyones fine. We found something we think you should see. Were

on our way to pick you 3 up. Esme agreed to the statement. They were

here in a matter of minutes. They came in full of mud and smelled

awful. I leaped into Jacobs arms as soon as I caught sight of him. Are

we have to find a connection, he demanded. It was getting dark so we

decided to head back to Carlisles to look over our foundings. The long

walk back was shorter than the first time because everyone ran. Ihopped on the back of Edward and the race began. Edward beat

Emmitt by a millisecond. We decided to stay at the Cullens until this

thing was caught. I would still go see Charlie in the morning.

I slept the whole way home and immediately went to the chair. I had to

cypher the code that was in my head. Why was this thing after us? Who

was behind it? These questions raddled around the entire night. I woke

at about 7:00 the next day. Jacob was lying on the couch with a file in

his hand. Carlisle was sitting at the desk with Eros file with his brows

furrowed. I got off the couch with as little noise as possible. Hey Jake.

He looked at me surprised, Hey, youre up early. I came and sat

against his chest, Theres too much excitement today. I turned to

Carlisle, Did you find anything? he got up and showed the files to me,

and Each file has a picture and probably every person they met. Butabout 50 percent of them have an x marked over the picture or name

crossed out. I checked with the police and found every person with an

x is dead or missing in the last month. The only thing is that there are

no vampires on these lists. He stopped and looked at Jake. Jake

started, The only 3 xs that are valuable to us, he showed me the files

he had. There was one of me, Jake and J.J. I stared in disbelief. He

wants us dead. Do we know who he is yet? I looked at Carlisle, he justnodded his head. I leaned back on jakes chest. What about Charlie and

my mom? Carlisle said in his raspy voice, We have eyes on them at all

times. I looked at Jake, I need to go see him. Jake nodded, Okay. I

woke up J.J and got in a quick shower. We were out the door at 8:30.



We arrived at Charlies a few minutes later. We walked right in not

stopping to knock.Dad were back. I called. On my way in I picked up

his mail, he had many bills and final notices. We went into the livingroom and found him in his boxers sleeping on the couch. I woke him up

so we could talk. Hey whats the news? he asked as I hugged him.

Everythings fine. Jacob took over, I was attacked by an animal, and

J.J tried to defend me, a few broken ribs but its all good. I told J.J to

put on a pot of water. After he left, I saw your mail. You have a lot of

final notices.Charlie huffed and rubbed his eyes, Its a hard time now

with the economy. I sighed. Jacob said, You know were here if youneed some help. Charlie looked at Jake with his tired eyes, Thank you

Jake but I cant ask you that. Im supposed to give you money. I wont

ask you for it. I thought of an idea, Well then you can move in with

us. Jacob nudged me with his hand, he gave me a look. Right now

isnt a good time but after that, Said Jake. Bella be serious, you dont

want me moping around your house. I looked at Jake, We do. It

would give me some closer. To make sure youre eating and youre

safe. Sure times are tough but well get through it together. I looked at

Jake, Fine well work it out. J.J lets go. We stood up and gave him

hugs. Im really glad youre okay Jake, Charlie said when Jake hugged

him. Jake drove us back to Carlisles. Invite him to stay with us? Jake

was furious. Thats what pops into your mind, your father to stay with

vampires and werewolves let alone with a psycho killer were trying to

find. His voice was powerful. Its my dad, what do you expect me to

do. I need him to be safe. Jake lost control, he pulled over and threw

the door open, Ill meet you at the house. Our first fight over my dad

ends of course of him running away.



I drove back to the Cullens with fear of me getting screamed at. I

arrived at the house with J.J. Jacob was coming in from the woods. We

have a slight problem, said Jake as we entered the house. Charlie is

going to be staying with us for a while, I confessed to everyone. Dontyou know we have a vampire on the loose? said Rosalie with her arms

crossed. Yes but I was just trying to help my father with money

issues. Carlisle came between us, Okay, well have to protect you

from your house. But we have other problems. J.J do you mind going

upstairs and getting my novel? We followed Carlisle to the table.

Dont be alarmed but we found a note that saidexperiment on J.Js

file. We heard a loud scream and some ruckus, Dad! J.J yelled. Stayhere, Jake said to me. Jacob was the first one up to Carlisles room

followed by the others. They were up there for only a few seconds

before they came barreling down the steps. Jake stopped and gave me

the biggest kiss. Then he ran to get our son and that thing. Esme and

Alice stayed with me. I balled my eyes out on the couch with Alice.

Everythings going to be fine, soothed Esme getting tissues. Why

does this happen to us? I sobbed.

JACOB BLACK

WE CHASED the thing all the way into Canada. Theres no way were

letting this thing get away with my son. High on its tail we saw it go into

a building. We followed it in to a dark, mysterious building that had a

few tables and again more books. The vampire ran into a room,

Daddy! yelled J.J. I rushed into the door and bust through it. The



vampire was standing over J.J with a large needle in his hand. I turned

into my wolf and fought the vampire with help of Emmett, Edward and

Carlisle. Edward always thought as J.J as his son. We charged at him and

killed him with a stake in his heart. He wasnt going to mess with ourfamily anymore. Rosalie and Jasper helped J.J get to safety. It looked

like Jake would be okay physically, but the mental trauma will always

be with him.

Bella

I WAS LYING on the couch sobbing my heart out when I heard the truck

pull up. Jacob, I screamed. I ran out to see that Jacob was pulling J.J

out of the backseat. Carlisle, Jake cried. I ran up to them. Jake landed

on his knees, and set J.J down. Carlisle, Jake cried again. Carlisle was

there helping J.J to breathe. I stated crying again. I think I noticed a

little cry in jakes eyes also. Jake stood and pulled me to his chest, Its

going to be okay. I love you.J.J just barely fluttered to life. I kneeled

down to his side, It is okay, baby, Mom and dads here. I looked over

jakes shoulder and saw Emmett uncovering the truck bed. Did you get

him? I said as I ran over to the truck, Yep, courtesy of your friendly

neighborhood watchers. I ran to him and hugged him so hard. I went

around to every person there. I came to Edward and it was a little

weird. Thank you for saving him, I said as we hugged. Id do anything

for him, hes like my son, he said with a slight glimmer in his eyes,I

smiled. I didnt stop crying until I was laying with my husband in total

protection. I cried on his chest, Thank god for saving him. He pulled

me in closer, What are we going to do with Charlie? I played with his

hand, Now that everythings done and over with he can move in with

us in the guest bedroom. Jake sighed, Okay, but its still my house, my



rules, and my Bella. He pulled me around so I was on top of him, I

love you so much, I said. I love you even more. Jacobs love was the

greatest thing that happened to my life. He brought me the happiness,

the security and my son. With Edward, there always was a boundaryand coldness. Jake was the one man that made me feel welcome and

secure in this world. There is no limit to the happiness he wants me to

feel. Im not sure what I would do if I chose Edward and not been able

to see Jake at all. Lets just hope everything stays the way it is now, the

way I like it.
