Sierra Carrington

5-4 • Sophmore • D/MEdgewood, WA(Boise State, Puyallup HS)

10Sierra Carrington enters her first season as a Lady Tiger. Carrington acts as a defender for the Lady Tigers who will be able to play anywhere across the back. In high school, Carrington received SPSL 4A South First Team honors, as well as a 2012 First Team All-Area honors by the Tacoma News Tribune. At Puyallup High School, Carrington was named most inspirational player three years in a row.

Joseph Comments: First and foremost; Sierra is an incredible person with high values. She comes from an amazing family. On top of that she is an extremely talented player. I was tracking her for over a year and she was one of the first players in the 2014 class who I wanted here at JSU. She is so competitive and this trait is going to filter through our team in a big way. The way she takes command and leads the players around her is extraordinary. She is so vocal and has high expectations. Her high expectation levels are backed up by her effort and application. She reads the game so well defensively. There were times when I watched her that she just took over the backline single handedly. She is going to be such an influential player on and off the field. Her charisma is going to filter through our team in such an amazing way and her knowledge of the game is going to help younger players. I am thrilled Sierra decided to come here because I know how much of a difference she can make immediately. I also want to be challenged by people like this; people who are always training out of their comfort zone.
