Jack Tanner
Jack Tanner’s practice involves the creation of highly structured and carefully rendered artworks composed from a mathematical system of thought. The use of various materials create the optical explorations which combine both the movement of physical form and colour. Process and play are at the core of Tanner’s philosophy and methodology, rejecting mechanised procedures in favour of a manual and hand-crafted approach that makes each work idiosyncratic and that stimulates further ideas for future projects.
Jack Tanner graduated from Wimbledon College of Art in July 2012. His work has been shown at the LLoyd Gill Gallery, Hackwood Arts Festival and the Vibe Gallery and was selected for display at Capsticks Solicitors and Clyde and Co., London. He currently works full time as an Artist in residence at Carshalton Boys College.
