Jack Morrocco was born in Edinburgh in 1953. At seventeen hewas accepted at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art inDundee, studying under Jack Knox and David McClure. In 1973he was selected for a place at Hospitalfield House, Abroath,where he was taught by Peter Blake. Following graduation in1974 Jack was awarded a postgraduate year and achieved ahighly commended post diploma. In addition to this he wonthe Farqhar Reid Travelling Scholarship which took his to Parisand Florence. Returning to Scotland, Jack set up and ran asuccessful design studio for sixteen years before returning tofull-time painting in 1997. Today, his paintings are widelycollected, and his artistic reputation continues to develop.

Jack Morrocco is an accomplished painter, able to turn his handto a number of styles of painting all with equal success andconfidence, forever changing and developing his disciplines.We are delighted to welcome him back for his fifth one-manexhibition with Thompson’s Gallery.
