More than 3.000 gar- ments were distributed among the poor in Washington within the last year, it was stated. Mrs. William Baxter, chairman of the dental clinic, reported on work done in that department and pointed out the Importance of dental work in general. Others who read reports were: Mrs. James Dudley Morgan, vice president, who touched upon the work in con- nection with the fresh-air farm; Miss M. Louise Parr. Mrs. A. J. Chappell, Miss Adele May, Miss Mildred Mer- rick. Miss Sheridan, Miss Ella May Sullivan, Mrs. Henry Simpson and Mrs. Thomas J. Sheridan. Miss Mary Weller McCarthy, girl scout captain, presented a number of her scouts dressed in uniforms which they made themselves. The scouts acted as ushers during the meeting, while music was furnished by members of the Christ Child Boys' Club. Exhibits were shown which depict- ed the work done by the society. MRS.
