soundbites This year, we are honouring members of the CKUT community that have passed away and remain at the heart of CKUT: Nadine Gelineau, Fluxy, and some of beloved donors, listeners and supporters. We are also commemorating a long time Fillipino- Canadian show (since 1999) that has left our grid: Sigaw Ng Bayan, and welcome a hip hop & reggae show that has joined our grid: Mash Time. And we are celebrating the strength of our communities in this messy world of increased socio-economic precarity, violence and displacement. As we reflect on the last 30 years, we also want to look ahead and envision our future against an increasingly corporate media landscape. We are expanding our internet presence to reach new audiences and are developing podcasting infrastructure for more shows beyond our grid. Some of the podcasts that have been recently developed at CKUT include: Out of the Fog, a show about adoption and power, Broad Science, a show about making science more accessible and inclusive, Treyf, a show about politics affecting Jewish communities, and Eve et Pandore, a show about intersectional feminism in French. We need your help to develop more resources for podcasting and to increase our presence in the big World Wide Web! CKUT will continue to bring you critical, visionary, refreshing content and provide the tools for making media magic. Our FM dial is important as ever, so please help keep us alive! In the past year, we reaped many awards. We were voted #1 Best Radio Station in the Cult MTL reader’s survey and won the Montreal Community Care Community Organization Award. Nipivut, a show by and for Inuit in Inuktitut, won the National Campus Community Radio Association (NCRA) Community Development Award, and Andre Goulet’s “Unpacking the News,” a show featuring conversations about Canada’s political and cultural diversity, won the NCRA Best in Podcasting Award. And it doesn't stop there. Let's celebrate our programmers! Long time Bhum Bhum Time host, Pat Dillon-Moore, was awarded the Black Theatre Workshop Dr. Clarence Bayne Community Service Award, and Samedi Midi host Raymond Laurent was awarded La Ligue des Noirs du Quebec Mathieu Da Costa Award. Radio CKUT 90.3FM is celebrating 30

Resounding Years!

This year, we are honouring members of the CKUT community that have passed away and remain at the heart of CKUT: Nadine Gelineau, Fluxy, and some of beloved donors, listeners and supporters.

CKUT will continue to bring you critical, visionary, refreshing content and provide the tools for making media magic. Our FM dial is important as ever, so please help keep us alive!

In the past year, we reaped many

years of music, art and spoken word like you’ve never heard before

awards. We were voted #1 Best Radio Station in the Cult MTL reader’s survey and won the Montreal Community Care Community Organization Award. soundbitesBulletin d’information annuel des donateurs

Radio CKUT 90.3 FM célèbre ces 30 ans

retentissants !
