The Events Page on our Membership Website enables you to pre-register for our Educational Webinars, which are now being presented 8 times per year. The schedule is out for the rest of 2015. I encourage you to participate in our upcoming July 16th Webinar -ROI is Your Tool to Show the Value You Offer

The MSMA National Board and Chapter Presidents Group are planning to

meet in Las Vegas prior to the MAILCOM Conference for a full day Workshop. We are looking forward to new ideas/initiatives to continue to develop Chapters and National.

The Cliff Bennett Memorial Education Committee will review the nominations submitted and select a recipient. The Award will be presented at the Fall MAILCOM Conference.

This is an election year for the MSMA National Board. Please consider serving on the National Board or a National Committee. Submit a Consent to Serve form found on our national web site: http://www.msmanational.org/

The Fall MAILCOM 2015 will be at the Tuscany Suites Hotel and Casino, in Las Vegas September 28 – 30th. One of the many benefits of membership is a discounted rate to MAILCOM. In addition to the networking and educational

programs, two particular items to note is that the Mailpiece Design Consultant (MDC) Review & Exam will be offered once again at MAILCOM, along with the CMDSM/CMDSS Exam. This is a great value-add to use in promoting attendance and your professionalism. The MDC Study Guide and Exam have been recently updated.

I join your national Board of Directors in our continuing commitment to develop MSMA in every way possible. Do not hesitate to contact me or any of your MSMA National Board members with any questions or suggestions. The MDC program is designed to evaluate industry associates in postal regulations and related information to provide the knowledge to successfully design or approve mailpieces through the U.S. Postal Service and comprehend information to achieve the most cost-effective U.S. Postal Service pricing. Program provides participants with the necessary resources for future reference to excel in their industry career.

All nine Ohio Valley members completed the class and on-line test with 100% successfully passing the test.

Iowa Chapter, Wednesday June 10, 2015Change ManagementKevin Pokorny, Pokorny Consulting

Brian Brown, Drake Relays Director

There is more to change than we think. Underneath and woven through the physical and external process of change is transition. If we don't give equal consideration to transition, then we will struggle to make a successful change. Find out what are the three phases of transition and tips to manage each of them. Kevin Pokorny, owner of Pokorny Consulting, will help us learn techniques to survive and thrive in times of change and transition. Very few of us like change but there are ways to make it less painful and disrupting to our personal and professional lives. Learn more about Kevin who is a master trainer, curriculum designer, consultant, facilitator, moderator, speaker and coach at http://pokornyconsulting.com/.

We're fortunate to have a world-class track and field event in our backyard that still manages to feel like a community event and distinctly Iowan. Brian Brown, Drake Relays Director and former world-class high jumper, will talk with us about Earning the Right to Lead. Throughout his athletic career and Drake Relays work Brain's been challenged to lead and he's found leadership isn't something you're handed, but rather something you earn the right to do by virtue of your actions, words and thoughts. Weaving a behind-the-scenes look at the Drake Relays, which is a world-class track and field event that still manages to feel distinctly Iowan, Brian will share what he's learned, about leadership and provide tips on how we can become leaders who inspire and challenge.

Our next Chapter meeting is scheduled for September 9 and it include a tour of Tension Envelope.

ROI is Your Tool to Show the Value You Offer — but it is more than telling them the response rate!

This webinar will cover 10 different ROI analysis options to report to the customer, and discuss the sample sizes needed to analyze the potential results of various campaign formats.

With countless media choices out there, every vehicle you choose to communicate your message should be justified through measured results. When you are working with multi-media/cross media campaigns, you need to report the benefits from each element of the campaign. Attend this seminar to find out how to track the ROI of your direct mail efforts through statistically sound methods that demonstrate accountability, amplify the ad spend, and measure impact of an overall marketing campaign. Testing and measurement need to be planned for as you design a campaign. Understanding how you plan to report the results to the customer to show the ROI is critical to the tracking and measurement plan.
