CIRCULAR

Subjects- Regarding financial assistance of Rs. 10000/- per school for setting up ofConsumer Clubs in various Govt. SChools/Colleges in Delhi.

Please find enclosed herewith the letter received from Secretary-Cum-Commissioner, Food, Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, Govt. of NeT Delhiregarding setting up of Consumer Clubs in various Govt. Schools/Colleges in Delhi. Theyhave asked to submit the proforma duly filled in all respect from the 100 Govt. Schools ofDirectorate of Education (list attached) for release of financial assistance of Rs. 10000/- perschool for setting up of consumer clubs in each school.

As per the above said letter-and attached list, only 36 schools had responded and 64schools have not responded till date resulting which financial assistance to 64 schools cannot be released.

Heads of the listed 64 defaulter schools (list enclosed) are, once again directed to takeaction and submit the requisite information on prescribed proforma to the office ofSecretary-Cum-Commissioner, Food, Supplies & Consumer Affairs (GNCT) K Block,Vikas Bhawan, New Delhi immediately so that funds for establishment of Consumer Clubsfor the financial 2016-17 can be released by the said department.

This issues with the prior approval of Competent Authority.

It is brought to my notice that only 36 schools had re spcnded tilldate. The Department could only release an amount of Rs.3,20,000 to 32schools only. The disbursement of funds to remaining 4 schools are inprocess.
