Activity: Practice answering questions and finding evidence to support• You are going to conduct a gallery walk on 4-5 quotes on the paper you’ve

been given

• Each station will be labeled with the document it represents

• As a group I want you to answer the question with each passage and choose a quote that supports the answer you gave and write both on the station paper and your own!

• If you get to a station that has an answer and quote you agree with mark it on your paper and put a check next to the quote and answer on the station paper.

As a class we will read the article “Effectively Incorporating Quotations”

As an individual you will practice finding quotes and answer the questions left on your sheet. I will circulate to check for your understanding.

Exit Slip

• I want you to write a 4 paragraph essay explaining Absolutism. The breakdown should be as follows:

• An introductory paragraph introducing your topic

• Body paragraph giving an example of an Absolute Monarch, with quotes to backup your explanation. (Could be used to give negative impacts of Absolute Monarchy)

• Body paragraph giving another example of an Absolut Monarch, with quotes to backup your explanation (Could be used to give positive impacts of Absolute Monarchy)

• Conclusion (Wrap up your thoughts on this topic. If you don’t feel like you could drop the mic after your last sentence, you need a stronger conclusion.)
