A Note From Noah

The Big and Small of It ...When you visit Ivy League, you’ll immediately see that we’ve created a camp big enough to provide an unmatched scope of camp activities, yet small enough to attend to the needs of each child’s individual camp experience. This commitment sets Ivy League apart from all other camps. Our uniqueness continues with our detailed attention to the creativity and sense of wonder we integrate into every part of the camp — from the grounds and activities, to the food, care and dedication we provide our campers. We strive to maintain program and schedule flexibility — making sure that the needs and expectations of our campers, and their families, are constantly being fulfilled.

WhykidslovesummerKids like summer for lots of reasons — the warm weather, the long days, and of course, vacation from school — just to name a few. But what makes kids LOVE summer? What makes it an unforgettable experience that they’ll look back on as a time in their lives like no other?

It’s actually a combination of things, a blend of people, creativity and fun that Ivy League Day Camp has perfected over the last five decades. It starts with the perfect mix of exciting activities and unique adventures that allow children to realize their potential — no matter their age or current abilities. We then add the important ingredients of instructive and creative programs designed to help our campers feel good about themselves and others in so many different ways. Finally, we add the most important things – new friends, the opportunity to grow and a bond with the Ivy League staff who quickly become your child’s family away from home.

Sure, most kids like summer. But only a special few get the opportunity to make it the best time of their lives. Come visit Ivy League Day Camp and see for yourself Why Kids Love Summer.

WhykidsthinkArtandScience arecooltoexplore In helping to set the standard for day camp excellence, Ivy League created the Explore Program — exclusive workshops specifically geared toward campers entering grades 1 through 9. This program, unique to Ivy League, provides challenging and inspiring activities for advanced children — allowing them to experience mental stimulation while also enjoying the excitement of every day camp activities.

Three, one-hour morning workshops that last for two-week sessions throughout the summer

Stimulating education and exploration in science, computers, engineering, robotics, chess, performing and visual arts, creative writing and much more

Certified professional instructors who are experts in their field

Mini field trips related to specific workshops designed to enhance learning of the chosen subject matter

The best of both worlds – all afternoons are filled with Ivy League’s day camp activities including swim, adventure, sports, and the arts

The definition of explore is “to inquire into unknown territory”. With Ivy League’s Explore Program, that’s exactly what our campers get to do — all while enhancing their abilities and bringing them to places they never imagined.

“ The Explore program is so cool because it’s like they made a camp for me!”

Whykidscan’twaittoswimTo most kids, summertime is all about swimming … relief from the summer heat… a time to splash, float, swim and relax in an enticing pool of sparkling, aqua-blue water. At Ivy League, we’ve taken it a few steps further with swim facilities, instruction and activities that go way beyond the scope of other day camps.

Four heated swimming pools – each individually appropriate for age and swim experience

Certified Water Safety Instructors thoroughly educated and experienced in the American Red Cross instructional and safety aquatic guidelines

Two swim sessions per day, each consisting of both instructional and free swim

Age-appropriate swim instruction – from Water Exploration for younger campers, to the Junior Life Guard program for the older, more experienced swimmers

The Ivy League Lightning Swim Team for campers who enjoy competition

Ivy League’s swim program has been strategically designed to enhance our campers’ water skills while increasing their self-esteem. And although it might take a little time to perfect these skills, it only takes a few seconds in an Ivy League pool for our campers to realize they wouldn’t want to be swimming anywhere else.

“ Swimming lets me show my parents all the new things I learn!”

WhykidsliveforsportsIt could be the rush of adrenaline while sinking the winning basket on NBA Day... or the cheers from the crowd while sprinting across the finish line. Whatever it is, we make sure that every Ivy League camper gets to experience the fun, excitement and confidence-building that comes with playing sports.

Our campers literally live for sports because at Ivy League, every child gets to enjoy…

Facilities designed specifically for each age group

A vast array of both competitive and non-competitive athletics

The perfect balance of team and individual activities

Specialized coaches at each sports area to help develop skills

The ability to focus on their favorite sports and play them more often

An environment that compels even the most unsure campers to take risks

When it comes to the Ivy League sports program, it’s all about giving our campers the opportunity to have fun, enhance their skills and recognize their potential — all at the same time.

“ Playing sports makes me feel good about myself!”

Whykidsaresointothearts

Nothing makes a child feel better than sharing a part of themselves with others… and the Ivy League Arts program allows our campers to do that all summer long. From visual and “hands-on” crafts to performing arts and theatrics, Ivy League gives children the opportunity to discover their imagination and express themselves in so many different ways.

Daily activities specially designed to develop and enhance creative talents

Experienced art teachers for every medium – giving campers access to their own unlimited creativity within any media they choose

Process-focused instruction for younger campers to assist in artistic creations

Advanced application techniques for older campers wanting to enjoy the fruits of their labor

A Performing Arts program with two theatrical productions and an annual festival to which family and friends are invited

At Ivy League, we help open the door to every child’s creative potential — the place within them that begins with their imagination, is fueled by talent and then driven by the desire to share these attributes with others. It’s one of Ivy League’s most exciting programs because it lets campers see campers… from the inside out.

“ Ivy League Arts isthe best because I get to be creative.”

Whykidsalwayswanttoplay

Play means different things to different campers. For some it’s climbing the intricate web or the jutting boulders of rock canyon. For others, it’s simply having the opportunity to get lost in thought, pretense and imagination. And because we feel that play is the essence of childhood, we offer campers the opportunity to enjoy unstructured play time each week so they can experience their hidden creativity.

State-of-the-art, themed play areas throughout the Ivy League grounds

Supervision at each play location, helping campers realize their unlimited potential and imagination

Creative group play where campers can enjoy themselves and their friends in a relaxed environment

Play gives children the time to conceive dreams and show others the world that exists within themselves. It also gives them a place to show off their talents and make new friends… all at the same time.

And isn’t that what having fun is all about?

WhykidsrockatadventureFor some kids, just being away at camp is an adventure. For others, adventure means having the opportunity to do things they typically don’t get to do. At Ivy League, we make sure all adventures are great experiences — filled with unique activities that consist of the three most important ingredients: excitement, safety and fun.

Unique activities, many exclusive to Ivy League, designed to have campers enjoy a sense of self they never knew existed

Age and capability sensitivity – campers get to enjoy those activities that best suit their age and abilities

Certified supervisors who help build self-confidence, trust and team spirit within each activity

An environment where campers feel physically and emotionally safe, giving them the comfort level necessary to take risks

Adventure at Ivy League takes all forms – from thrilling and one-of-a-kind activities to viewing the camp grounds from atop a manmade mountain. With so many different ways to experience adventure, it’s no surprise that Ivy League campers leave the summer behind with increased independence, self-assurance and the wonder of “what comes next?”.

WhyparentschooseIvyLeagueThe reasons parents choose Ivy League are as varied as the children who visit us each summer. However, one reason that ranks above most others is the Ivy League Parent Principle: The needs of our campers’ parents are just as important as the needs of their children — we go above and beyond what’s “required” by getting to know each individual family in order to meet their goals and expectations.

Age-appropriate facilities throughout the camp grounds

American Camp Association Accreditation that meets — and exceeds — over 300 of New York State’s basic licensing requirements

One of the lowest staff to camper ratios in the country so that each camper gets the attention they deserve

Daily updates for parents that range from online camp information and happenings to daily reports and phone calls from division leaders

Pre-and post-season parent surveys that allow us to keep a pulse on how we’re doing and what we can do to improve the Ivy League experience

Extreme flexibility in meeting food, transportation and communication requirements. Allergy and special-dietary offerings… bus service and extended care altered to meet parents’ schedules… an always open-door policy for camp visitation… plus so much more.

Why do parents choose Ivy League? The reasons are endless, but one thing is for certain — from the moment you step foot on our camp grounds, YOUR reasons will become crystal clear.

“ We choose Ivy League because we know all of our child’s needs are met.”
