  • Moonlight Masquerade Ball The theme of the 7th and 8th grade middle school dance has been chosen. The voting was very close, and the decision was made to combine two of the three themes. Moonlight and Masquerade have been merged to create one epic night. The dance will be held on Saturday, April 28th from 7pm- 10pm. The location is to be determined.

    Yearbooks are still on sale! Cost is $40 until April 29th, which is the deadline to place the order. You can order at Josten’s website, enter Ivy Hawn to place your order.

    Fiddler On The Roof Fiddler has been casted and rehearsals have started. The rehearsal schedule is posted on the Ivy Hawn website. There are less than twenty more rehearsals until Ivy Hawn’s production of Fiddler on the Roof, starting March 23-25. In March make sure to come and support your elementary and middle school drama, music and dance department.

    Dance Team From a mix of broadway sensations to three singing flight attendants, competition season is beginning for the Ivy Hawn Senior Competitive Dance Team. Junior team as well as Performance team will come along with the Competitive team to Access Broadway, Platinum, and Celebration Dance Competition. For the first year, Ivy Hawn will be bringing a total of two trio’s, two duet’s and two solo’s. February 9th will date the seasons first competition at Access Broadway. At the competition, Competitive team will debut their contemporary dance, that is dedicated to their love and what inspires them to dance. Another Ivy Hawn first will appear at this competition, this year a dance will include everybody on dance team ( junior and senior )and compete in a dance titled, “ One.” This dance is a mash up of broadway sensations. Best of luck to the team!

    In this social experiment we were able to see how kindergarten interests have changed over time. Children's interests have evolved and changed. In 2009 Ivy

    Hawn’s current eighth grade class was in kindergarten, over the years the way kindergarteners view the world has

    changed. As evident in the data some things will be altered but some things

    will remain the same. Just like the poles of our Earth, kindergarteners and eighth graders are viewed as Polar Opposites but are more similar than they appear.
