IU Online Class Connect & Collaborative Tuition Rates An Introduction for IUPUI What is IU Online Class Connect? IU Online Class Connect (IUOCC) is a process which allows the campuses of IU to share online courses to enhance student success, maximize resource utilization, and support collaborative degrees. IUOCC establishes a tuition share agreement between the Campus of Enrollment (CoE) and the Campus of Instruction (CoI) which allows both campuses to benefit from students enrolling via IUOCC. IUOCC reduces the need for students to enroll at other institutions due to travel or course availability at their CoE. Principles for the IUOCC Backbone for online collaborative degrees Full faith and credit given to IUOCC courses from other campuses Available online options will be fully transparent to students Transfer, prerequisite, sequence, and residency rules must be applied to online courses and students on exactly the same terms (formally and in practice) as to home-campus students Course planning, availability, conflicts, etc. are to be handled by regular communication among campus academic officers not through barriers to students registration or progress Note: Not all of these courses were replicated through IUOCC. IUOCC courses enhance efficiency by utilizing 85% or higher of capacity compared to an estimated 65%.
