• Create environment for interactive TV over IP

• Deliver high quality multimedia content to large number of users

• Content Delivery System:– 1 Gb/s dedicated links among RDC in PIONIER network– 30 proxy/cache servers connected with 100-400 Mb/s links– aggregated cache volume :

• RDC: 7 TB (~ 10 000 hours)• proxy/cache: 600 GB - 1,4 TB (~ 2000 hours)

– at least 15 000 users connected

• Cooperation with: – Metropolitan Area Networks– Universities and schools– Last mile operators and ISPs
