May 19-21 at the Union County Fair & Exposition

Center in Sturgis. Registration forms and fees are

due March 18 and are available at the Extension

Office. All adults attending must have completed the

4-H Extension Client Protection process. Contact

Stacey at the Extension Office if you have questions.

We spent our February meeting talking about

livestock judging, specifically cattle. Our adult

leader, Daniel Hayden, is planning another meeting

for those interested in Livestock Judging on March 9,

at 6pm.

Area Teen Retreat Districts 6 and 7 are teaming up to put on an Area Teen Retreat to be held at West Kentucky 4-H Camp

April 7-9. This retreat is focused on leadership and getting to know other teens from the area. If you

are interested, please contact Lindsey at the Extension Office. Registration is due March 10 so call today!

At our meeting we learned about health. Ms. Angie

helps us a lot with health and art. It was a really fun

meeting. We use parliamentary procedure for our

meetings. We have a president, secretary and

reporter. At our next meeting we will be doing a

character survey.

Camp is open to youth 9-15 years of age. The cost is

$195 or $185 if paid in full by May 1. The fee

includes meals, lodging, transportation, a t-shirt, and

a fun filled week you’ll never forget! Spaces fill

quickly, please don’t wait until the last minute!

As always we are looking

for teens (16-18) and adults

to serve as volunteers at

camp. If you are interested

please contact us. All

volunteers must go through

a screening process which

includes a background check and an interview.

Parents, please be aware we can only accept the

number of campers we have the adults to supervise.

Please consider serving as a camp volunteer to

ensure we can take as many youth as want to attend.

If you can’t attend, maybe you know someone who

can!
