I got multiple weaponsdesigned to their full ability

and ready to beimplemented in the gameplay whenever Dominic

    needs them.

    Got manyweapons. Traced

    with a tablet.

Had a few problems withtracing with the tablet at

first. Once i got the hang ofit it was quite easy to do.

The hardest weapon to dowas the chainsaw.

More weapons and our maincharacter needs to be

    designed soon.

    2

All weapons are nowbasically complete (bar 1

or 2) and we have nostarted to get our character

Had a few problems withcorrect shading and linework but was easily fixed

    Individual Work Log

This log is to document your progress throughout the project. Each day you have ITS youshould fill in the details of the tasks accomplished in the log below either for the last fiveminutes of class or at home. A completed log must be submitted as part of the project.

Date Work Undertaken (Including Meetings and Outcomes)ApproximateTime Spent

13/04/10 We began planning our weapons and characters, with around 15 weaponsplanned and a story line + specifications thought out we are ready to startdesigning the weapons of the game first.

    1hr 30 mins

14/04/10 I have designed a few weapons using the line tool, very basically because ihave planned on using a tablet to make them look nice and give them a more

cartoon/flash based look. So far I have a spear and fight club soap designed, although the designs are very basic due to further altercations being made.

    1hr 30 mins

16/04/10 I now have a tablet and traced both my previous weapons created lastlesson. I also talked to Lachlan about his designs and how he should do themain designs and I should draw over them with the tablet because he seemsto be better at detailing and designing the weapons whereas i seem to bebetter at drawing them.

    1hr 30 mins

20/04/10 I traced a few more of Lachlans weapons, while also designing and creatinga chainsaw and samurai sword myself. The chainsaw was difficialut to makeand even though it is not correctly positioned for a top down game wedecided that it would work best for the enjoyment of the user of the game ifthey could see the chainsaw this way (side on)

    1hr 30 mins

21/04/10 I traced a few more of Lachlans weapons with the tablet, while designing afew more of my own. There were a few problems encountered with theweapons which were mainly due to hard to trace lines and such. But wereresolved with some thinner lines used.

    1hr 30 mins

24/04/10 I traced one of Lachlans weapons, and touched up my old ones with someshading and made sure they looked ok at their original sizes for the game.

    1hr 30 mins

27/04/10 Lachlan designed a character this lesson and I traced it with the tablet, itlooks very well done and now needs to be animated for a walking cycle forgame play. Only had trouble with tracing the hair of the character but Imgoing to fix that next lesson.

    1hr 30 mins

28/04/10 I fixed up our character so it now has a centre point, and gave it a walk cyclefor every direction he can go. I had many problems with getting it lined up on

every frame, so i had to use the onion skin feature and that resolved theproblem. I also partly designed and drew an enemy with Lachlan and got itdoing a similar walk cycle to the main character.
