Put yourself in the picture The eastern institute of Technology (eiT) offers Year 13 Degree Scholarships to eligible Hawke’s Bay and Tairäwhiti (gisborne) students from Hick’s Bay to Dannevirke and Taupo. Year 13 students from throughout new Zealand applying for the Bachelor of Viticulture and the Bachelor of wine Science are also eligible. Apply now for any one of our 12 degree programmes.

Limited scholarships will be awarded to Year 13 secondary school leavers commencing full-time degree study in February 2015.

Eligible students are from the region covering Hawke’s Bay and Tairäwhiti, from Hick’s Bay to Dannevirke to Taupo.

Lecturersnowteach12bachelordegreesaswellaspostgraduatecertificatesanddiplomas,anhonour’sdegreeandfourmastersdegrees.Teachingatthislevelrequirestheystaycurrentandundertakeresearchaspartoftheireducationalrole.

EIThasanenviablereputationforitsrangeofappliedqualifications.Buildingonthis,itcontinuestoattractexternalresearchcontractsforappliedprojectsthatmakeadifferenceacrossawiderangeofservicesandindustries,bothlocallyandnationally.

EITrankssecondofninemedium-sizedinstitutesoftechnologyandpolytechnicsintheTertiaryEducationCommission’s2012interimreportevaluatingresearchexcellencefortheGovernment’sPerformance-BasedResearchFund.Fromacrossallfaculties,thenumberofEITstaffrecognisedasproducingqualityresearchincreasedfrom10in2006to34in2012.

ThisincreasewillboostEITresearchfundingupto2018.
