Itron Easy Key

A unique key change token (2 x 20 digits) must be entered into every meter in order to upgrade the meter key and reset the memory or they will no longer work.

While 2024 sounds far away, this is a time-consuming process and it must be completed. Are you prepared to locate every meter in your service territory to perform this upgrade? Are you relying on your customers to correctly manually enter a credit token and the Rollover Key Change Token (60-digits in total)? Itron would like to offer an easier solution, the Itron Easy Key.

As announced in May 2018 by the STS Association there is a serious pending business risk to the entire prepayment industry. The token identifiers (TID) used to identify each credit token will run out of available numbers on November 24, 2024 and all of the STS meters will no longer accept credit tokens.

The Itron Easy Key is a mobile application designed specifically for the TID Rollover Key Change and will significantly reduce risk to utilities to meet the rollover deadline.
