Kailasa and Mansarovar are as old as the Creation itsel and

believed to be the centre o the Universe and the ultimate

pilgrims destination or the Hindu, Buddhist, Jain and the

Bongo. Kailash is considered as the holiest mountain on earth

through millennia and monks, yogis and pilgrims rom all over

the world have travelled or a Darshan o this sublime peak to

attain moksha. Te mountains exceptional isolation and the

peculiar contours o black granite gives it the appearance o

a Shivalinga. It is also known by Meru, Sumeru, Sushumna,

Hemadri (golden mountain), Ratnasanu (the jewel peak),

Karnikachala (lotus mountain), Deva Parvatha (summit o

gods) and many more... Kailash is the abode o Lord Shiva and

his divine consort Parvathi and this radiant peak is considered

to be the throne o ruth, Wisdom and Bliss and it is at this

apex where the Sound and the Light merge into OM.

Te grand view o Gulra Mandhata, Mansarovar and Ravanalake hypnotises the onlooker into subliminal aura. Ravana is

claimed to have prayed at this lake and had the audience with

Shiva. Mansarovar was created by Brahma and is said to contain

the essence o all the Vedas. Tis bluish, green emerald or pure

turquoise calm water is the place or holy ceremonial bath. Its

believed that he who takes a holy dip at Mansarovar lake, at

15000 eet above sea level and completes the Parikrama around

Kailash is absolved o his sins through generations. For him,

there is no rebirth, no sorrow nor joys: he is one with the

Ultimate; he is one with Shiva; he becomes the Shiva.

Te Inner circuit (Kora):

Tis is considered to be the toughest o all parikramas and

involves a 34 kms walk on oot around Mt. Kailash at 19000 t

above sea level. Te landscape around is snow, ice and rocks

with hardly any humans in sight.

Kalash Circuit (Kora):

Tis 52 kms parikrama is done in 3 days. It begins and endsin Darchen at 15150 t and the pilgrims cross Dolma pass at18600 t. above sea level.

Ashtapada:Pilgrims can visit this rom Darchen ater a 5 hour trek.

Mansarovar Circuit (Kora):Te 88 kms parikrama o Mansarovar begins at Horchu andends at Chiu with the route going along the lake

Day 1:Welcome to your Kailah Manaroar Oerlandyatra !

Day 2: oday morning proceed on a hal day sightseeing tour

Day 3: Drive approx 150 kms / 8 hour through Bhaktapur,

Dhulikhel and reach the Friendship Bridge on the Nepal-

ibet border. Get transerred by local mini coach ollowed

by a 10 minute short walk to meet your ibetan guide and

the land cruiser drivers. Proceed to Zhangmu to complete the

immigration and custom ormalities and then drive to Nyalam.

Planning your Kailash mansarovar yaTra

- Necessary orms and documentation are required to be lled.

- 6 Passport size photographs are required + 1 photo needs to bexed on the application orm.

- 6 month valid passport rom the date o travel. A copy o the

passport needs to be submitted 45 days prior to travel so as to reach

the concerned authorities in time to apply or Chinese visa. Tis

process takes a minimum 30 days. Nepal Visa is obtained upon

arrival at Kathmandu airport. Important: Carry at least 6 passport

size photographs with you.

- Always carry your money and relevant documents in a waist

pouch. Advisable to carry diary, pen and books on the area.

- Tis is a spiritual yatra and there is no specic level o tness.

However good health and physical tness is required to undertake the

yatra. Tose with history o blood pressure, heart ailments, cardiac

ailments, respiratory problems, eplilepsy and asthama should avoid

this trip due to travel and walks at high altitude. Doctors approval

and tness certicate needs to be attached and a MUS document

to be submitted. Recommended or those planning the travel is

Morning and evening walks, jogging, stretching, meditation and

regular exercise to gain tness.

- Request all to carry their regular medicines that is prescribed to

them by their doctors.

- Due to high altitude travelers may experience high altitude

sickness, mild headaches, nausea and loss o appetite. Tis can be

reduced by drinking water and juice at regular intervals.

Kailash Mansarovar is cool during nights and warm during days.

summer (May-Augut) is pleasant with average temperature 15C.

Monoon (september-October) is accompanied with rain all and

temperature drops to 10C.

Te ideal season to visit is rom May to October.

- Te weather in ibet and in the border areas o Nepal is veryunpredictable. Te itinerary and services may require a change should

this happen and should this result in increase in the travel cost or

reasons, whatsoever, the same will have to be paid by the travelers.

- Pilgrims have to carry their own bags and personal belongings.

Should they require assistance, porters or the entire duration o

the trip will have to pre-blocked at the time o booking their yatra

package at an additional ee.

- Insurance is a MUS and orms a part o the package or those

up to 60 years. Tose above 60 years will have to consult the

doctor prescribed by the Insurance company and pay additionalinsurance ee as advised. Insurance includes curtailment o tour,

hospitalization, evacuation, loss o personal belongings, other

medical emergencies and trip delay / cancellation. Details covered

under the insurance will be advised.

- Te area o travel has very restricted communication acilities.Trough satellite phones and telephone booths in some areas we

will try to stay connected during the tour period. You may leave

our Nepal contact with your amily members back home and they

would be able to given messages when called.

- 4W Jeeps will be used on tour. Tese have restricted space so we

request all to carry minimum luggage in the jeeps. Separate jeeps /

truck will carry the main luggage.

- Currency

Nepal: ravel cheques, credit cards and Indian Rupee are valid.

Carrying o Indian Rupees in Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 denominations

is a punishable ofence in Nepal.

On our: Renminbi, the ocial Chinese currency used by the

ibetans is used in denominations Yuan 1, 2, 5,10, 100.
