Having prepared questions demonstrates you are well organised, have taken the time to research the company and shows a level of active interest in the position/company you are interviewing for/with. Questions about salary, holidays or other benefits should be directed to your ITCOM Consultant. If you ask these during a job interview, this may demonstrate to the client that you are only interested in what you are going to get out of the job.     ON THE DAY OF THE INTERVIEW Be sure you are well rested and allow plenty of time to get to your interview

    Ensure your appearance is neat and tidy. Please consult with your ITCOM Consultant as to the appropriate dress standard for this particular interview.

    Ensure that you know where you are going and how long it will take you to get there so that you will arrive on time allow extra time for traffic delays etc.

    Arrive at the interview site approximately 5-10 minutes before your scheduled meeting.

    If you are running late please phone your ITCOM Consultant who will contact the person who will be interviewing you.

    Know how long the interview is expected to last. Do not make appointments immediately following your expected completion time. You do not want to feel rushed or to leave the impression you have more important things to do than participate in the interview.

    Go alone. Don't bring a friend or relative. If someone takes you to the interview, ask them to wait somewhere other than the waiting room it is best to arrange to meet then somewhere after the interview.

    Be polite. Show respect to everyone you meet, whether it's the boss, the receptionist or another interviewee.

    Take a copy of your CV and any certifications you think are relevant to the job. Take your questions with you and a notepad and pen in case you want to take any notes.

    DURING THE INTERVIEW This is your opportunity to shine, making the best possible impression on the interviewer. You need to make hiring you the easiest decision an employer can make.

    Be sure your handshake is firm

    Wait until you are offered a chair before sitting and be sure to sit upright and be attentive.

    Be a good listener as well as a good talker.

    Maintain eye contact.

    Be truthful!

    Do not to dominate the discussion by speaking too much or too loud.

    Don't criticize colleagues, past managers, friends or competitors.

    Smile!

    AFTER THE INTERVIEW

    Call your contact at ITCOM Consultant straight away with your thoughts and feedback on the interview.

    You can relax now knowing that you have done your best.
