It’s Auction Time!

We hope this letter finds you healthy and safe during this time of stress in our world. As we’re all

dealing with uncertainty and fear, we want to start by telling you that we have been thinking of you

and praying for you all during this time. As part of our extended Project Hope family, you are special

to us and we hope you are finding peace.

The 10th Annual Benefit Auction was scheduled for this spring. Unfortunately, we will not be able to

have a live event this year. Instead we are inviting you and your friends to join us in our online “Buy it

Now” Auction event. We are beyond thankful for our generous donors who have sacrificed to give

items and gift certificates to this year’s auction despite the uncertainty in the world. We have kept this

printed version of the catalog as condensed as possible, but you can see donors, pictures, and

complete information online.

This year’s event will be a bit different from previous years. The biggest change is that it is now a “buy

it now” event rather than a bidding event. All items will be up for sale on the website, and you can

purchase them on a first come, first served basis. Here are the details:

How it Works:

1. Visit www.project-hope-ministries.org/auction and follow the directions. Everything is “buy it now”

— we’re selling things based on their value on a first come, first served basis. The earlier you shop,

the more options you’ll have! You can currently visit the website, but the link to the specific items will

not be there until Saturday April 25th at noon. Until then, look over the catalog to see what you want!

2. Shop, and then go to your cart to check out. It’s safe and secure, and you’ll receive email

confirmation right away. We’ll contact you within 48 hours to arrange to ship or deliver your items.

3. If you want to make a donation without purchasing an item, you can do that through our website at

www.project-hope-ministries.org. Again, it’s safe and secure and you’ll receive an emailed receipt

within minutes.

4. Stay updated by following Project Hope’s Facebook Page and checking your email. (Not on our

list? You can sign up on the website.) An instructional video will be available by Thursday.

Why the Auction is Critical This Year: The impact on Project Hope of COVID-19 has been

significant, as we know it has been for many families, businesses, and organizations. For us, the

greatest impact has been in the area of fund-raising. We partner with other organizations to do various

fund-raisers, and our largest events of the year have been severely impacted or canceled.

At the same time, needs of families and children that we serve in Colombia have increased. The

Project Hope House is home to two families that are “stuck” in Colombia as they complete their

adoption. We are happy to be able to offer free housing to them at this time, and that is thanks to the

generosity of people like you! In addition, the children from the Community Center and their families

are suffering from lack of work as they are unable to recycle with the current government restrictions.

In short, the needs are the greatest we have seen them, but our resources are more limited. We know

we serve a God who is able to supply our needs. Had we had a live auction, we would have presented

the theme “Start where you are; use what you have; do what you can.” We invite you to join us in

using the resources God has given to each of us and watching as He takes care of the needs in a way

that is beyond what we could ever imagine!
