Did you know that the capital city of Italy, Rome, was also the centre of one of the most pow-erful civilisations of Ancient times: the Roman Empire?
Italy has contributed many amazing inventions to the world: eyeglasses, universities, jeans, the piano, and the newspaper too!!
And of course where would we be without Italian cuisine? Pizza, pasta and gelato make the world a better place!
In today’s activity we’ve designed a fun game in which you travel through the major cities of Italy, from the top to very bottom, by answering trivia questions all relating to the geography, history and culture of Italy.

INSTRUCTIONS:Print out the game board and trivia cards.Cut out your cards and make a pile face down on the red square.Find counters you can use for each player and place them on Aosta - the first city.The youngest player starts first, someone will read the player the card on top of the pile and the player must guess the answer. If they get it right, they can roll the dice and move forward. If they get the answer wrong, they stay in the city they're on and play moves to the left. The winner is the person who reaches Cagliari first!
