ABOUT THE EIHS

VISION

MISSION

The Emirates Institute for Health and Safety LLC, (EIHS); is an Environmental, Health, Safety and Medical training and Consultancy Company based in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. EIHS is certified by the Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center, OSHAD, as a Consultancy Office class B in order to provide support to companies and organizations based in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi with EHS Consultancy Services related to the Abu Dhabi Environment, Health and Safety Management System (AD EHSMS) development, implementation and audit.Throughout this, EIHS empowers employers to comply with local health and safety initiatives in Abu Dhabi and the UAE, which aims to improve the health and safety of the workplace in the UAE. Moreover, EIHS is certified and fully accredited by the Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, ACTVET, as a training institute; and is one of the first private institutes in the UAE offering internationally recognized training programs (NEBOSH, IOSH, NASP, CIEH, HIGHFIELD and ISO standards) to improve the safety, health, hygiene and the welfare of workers at workplaces in the UAE. EIHS is also licensed by the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi, HAAD, and is accredited as an international training center for the American Heart Association, (AHA).

The Emirates Institute for Health and Safety LLC, EIHS, has on place an Integrated Management System IMS which was developed on line with the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001, and later on Certified by Bureau Veritas. EIHS is supported by a highly qualified, experienced team with exceptional educational backgrounds and expertise such as; Faculty Members of world-wide universities, Environmental Scientists, Public Health Experts, Nurses, Nutritionists, Microbiologists and Industrial Hygienists and Occupational Health and Safety Professionals. Our main objective is to contribute to the nation’s health and safety by encouraging employers to empower employees to continually improve and maintain the health and safety at the workplace. Our focus is to promote the wellbeing of clients, local communities and the general public who might be impacted by occupational and industrial activities. In order to attain these goals, EIHS, in collaboration with its national and international partners, provides state of the art programs in Occupational and Industrial Hygiene consulting services, Fire & Rescue Services, Security Services, Roadway Traffic Safety programs, Nutritional Health and various Health Care and Life Support training courses in conjunction with American Heart Association (AHA), Highfield Awarding body for compliance (HABC), and the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). Emirates Institute for health and safety (EIHS) is training and consultancy Service Provider institute

specialized in Health, Safety and Environment field, chartered to enable its clients all over the middle-

east region to develop their capabilities and core competencies up to the excellence.

programs is regularly monitored and

reviewed so that the HSEQMS can be

workplace safety. The National Association of Safety

Professionals (NASP) is

the United States Division

of the non-profit

International Association

of Safety Professionals

(IASP). We currently have

approximately 10,000

members with a client list (members, former

members, and trainees) of approximately 30,000.

The primary mission of the National Association of

Safety Professionals is to provide safety

professionals with innovative training

opportunities and certification to assist them in

carrying out their safety related functions with

confidence while assuring a high level of

competence.

The NASP was formed in 2000 by a group of safety

professionals. These men and women were safety

trainers, consultants, and safety directors who

wanted to provide cost

effective workplace safety

training and consulting to

business and industry. The

founders also desired to

provide professional

credentials to safety

professionals who were largely self-taught, trained

on the job, or educated by independent study.
