Shore Excursion from Laem Cha Bang port to Ayutthaya (Private Tour)

ITINERARY : 

Pick up from Laem Cha Bang port at 08:00 a.m. Transfer to visit Ayutthaya, World Heritage site by UNESCO by private a/c vehicle (drive about 2.5 - 3 hours). Visit Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, one the oldest temples in Ayutthaya which has the greatest chedi in Ayutthaya. 

Transfer to Wat Mahathat, the royal temple in the center of Ayutthaya Historical park where you can see the head of Buddha image inside the tree root. Continue walking to the pier on board the small boat for your private boat tour around Ayutthaya Historical park (about 1 hour). 

Have an optional lunch at the local restaurant. Then transfer to visit Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, the ancient palace and royal chapel of Ayutthaya Kings from 1350 - 1767 A.D. Return to Laem Cha Bang Port.

ABOUT THE HIGHLIGHTS : 

 

Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, the buddhist temple which built since early period of Ayutthaya (1357 A.D.). The temple was the school of Buddhist monk and the meditation centre which still use for service until nowadays.  

The highlights are the reclining buddha and the greatest chedi in Ayutthaya which constructed by King Nareasuan of Ayutthaya in 1592 A.D. to celebrate the victory over the Burmese prince and army. 

 

 

Wat Mahathat, temple of the great holy relics of Ayutthaya. The temple is one of the oldest temples in Ayutthaya Historical park, built since the late 14th century.   

The highlights of the temple is to see the head of Buddha image inside the tree root which is the symbol picture and the highlight of Ayutthaya province. Travelers can also see the beautiful architecture remains.

Wat Phra Si Sanphet and the ancient palace. The residence and the royal chapel of Ayutthaya’s kings from 1350 - 1767 A.D.   

Ayutthaya was founded in year 1350, became the second Siamese capital after Sukhothai. During the peak, Ayutthaya was home of more than 1,000,000 people and was the largest city in the world.  The city of Ayutthaya was destroyed in year 1767 by the Burmese army. It is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1991.
