Sultanahmet and its surroundings: the old town

Kariye Camii: Built on a hill, surrounded by some renovated old houses, the old church of St. Saviour in Chora was transformed into a mosque. Today it is a really wonderful museum which can’t be missed during a visit of Istanbul.

Hill Beyoglu: the heart of the modern city
The Block of Taksim : This important public square separates the ancient neighbourhoods of Pera and the most recent area located in the north . It is bordered in the east by the Opera and the Atatürk Cultural Center, in the south by the Holy Trinity Greek Church and Istiklal Avenue and in the west by the Taxim (Taksim) and the Armenian Church of St. John Chrysostom. The pedestrian streets of Taksim are a quiet place, just a few steps from the famous Street Istiklal and the vibrant city center.

The banks of Bosphorus
Dolmabahce Saray : ”Dolmabahçe" was originally a bay on the Bosphorus which was filled gradually from the seventeenth century to become the most appreciated garden by the Ottoman sultans. Several summer residences were built here throughout time and the Dolmabahce Palace itself was built between 1853 and 1856. It is the largest palace of the Bosphorus, we can see 285 bedrooms, 46 living rooms, 6 Turkish baths and 68 toilets with the usable area of 45,000 m2.
Cruise along the Bosphorus: navigating along the meandering strait, 32 km long and varying from 660 m to 3300 m of width, separating Europe from Asia and contemplate the palaces situated on its banks.
Ortakoy Mosque : The Ortaköy Mosque literally means” village in the middle ", referring to the small piece of land that is in the waters of the Bosphorus. It is located on the European side of the strait that separates Europe from Asia.
