A PLACE CALLED HOME 8 NEW HABITAT FAMILIES WILL

BE IN THEIR HOMES BY CHRISTMAS

Every family dreams of spending Christmas in their own home. Between Christmas 2013 and Christmas 2014, this dream will become a reality for 8 new Habitat Families in Hood County. Six homes were completed prior to the Summer 2014 hiatus, and 2 homes are currently under construction. Ten additional families have been selected for our program and are working on sweat equity hours, as they wait for construction to start on their homes.

This Christian ministry is made possible by the generosity of many volunteers and contribu-tors. To help our building program continue, tax deductible donations may be sent to:

Building a world where every-

Home Depot partners with Habitat on 5 homes

The Home Depot Foundation

approved a grant which provides

partial funding for 4 new homes and

1 re-hab in the 2014-2015 build year.

Home Depot employees helped with the con-

struction of Robert and Celina Canales’ home

on October 18. A grant from the Home Depot

Foundation is helping to fund construction of

homes and it also provided partial funding for

the new Habitat office that was constructed in-

side our new Warehouse/ Shop.

We have an office, now!

Our donated temporary office, used during tornado recovery,

proved so useful that we began to explore how we could keep

it. After much discussion, it was decided that it would be

more cost efficient to construct a small office inside the exist-

ing Warehouse/Shop, which was done during the Summer,

thanks in part to a grant from Home Depot Foundation. This

office will be open by appointment only.
