515 schools across 85 countries participated in the Innovation Project. 118 innovations were posted and many tutorials

were created. Lots of schools connected via Skype, not to forget the Expert Webinars. Our project was covered

by press and supported by Charlize Theron, Greenpeace, and other public figures. Our students took up the

responsibility of Saying NO to plastic and recycling the plastic and other waste by making a mud wall. The technique

used for the same was COBBING. The students and teachers did an incredible job but our heart goes out to KETA, the

teacher who made it possible. Working under the sun with the temperatures as high as 42 degrees is no joke for sure!

Children were actually keen about going to the ground and work-

ing with Ms. Keta in creating the wall. Every child wanted his/her

contribution in saving the environment in their own small way.

Some students continued to come to school even after the Summer

holidays kicked in and helped in creating the wall under the sun.

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more,

you are a leader.”

Dear Parents

Warm Greetings,

The new session unfolded the 20 days of May and revealed a bagful of achievements,

proud moments and excitement too. Under the able guidance of our accomplished Principal

Ma’am, we witnessed many firsts for e.g. the selection of the best class, election of the

Junior student council, selection of our 9 students in the state wrestling team, the first PTM

of the session where the students presented a glimpse of co-curricular and PBL activities

to the parents which was received with appreciation and pride. The Curio and Propel

curriculum and the STEM science kits which have been introduced for the first time have

started showing their impact. Now it is not just LEARNING but JOYFUL LEARNING

and one can see it on the beaming faces of these children when they complete a task and feel proud of their work. The

monthly intra and inter class dictation & table dodging also is happening for the first time. The monthly newsletter

that you are reading now is too happening for the first time.

It is our constant endeavour to excel in whatever we do. Our students are guided towards overall development. Our

qualified teachers are given regular training to ensure that they are able to identify the potential of each child, to

enhance their talents and ability accordingly and work on their weaknesses as well.

The CBSE inspection was also successfully conducted which paved the way to our school becoming a Higher

Secondary School very soon.

The heat of May has caught up and the plethora of hectic activities has left us all high and dry. As we move towards a

much-deserved summer vacation, I would advise the parents to be watchful and do not let the overflowing energies of

children get wasted. Involve them in household chores. Encourage them to make a kitchen garden (if space permits) or

plant seeds and saplings in pots, take care of them and watch them grow. Make your home a ‘no plastic zone’. Take

care of the environment and educate everyone around you to do the same.

To inculcate the habit of reading at an early stage Bharat Ram Global School has

made a separate library for the students of pre primary. Age appropriate books have

been added to the room and the teachers ensure that the love for reading comes to the

children naturally. This habit of reading in the children ensures that they are able to do

self study at home when they grow up, their dependence on their tuition teachers and

parents is minimal. The tables and the paraphernalia in the new library have been set

as per the age of the students who would be using it. Happy Reading!!!

Subject Enrichment Activities

As a part of the CBSE’s changed curriculum, the students at BRGSGN enjoyed subject enrichment activities enabling

further learning and going beyond the text books. All subject teachers devised strategies to ensure maximum

participation. To name a few, the mathematics students made presentations describing the various concepts that they

have learned over the last 1 month. The English subject teachers made the students do a listening activity where the

students heard two people talking about a task and then they answered questions in their worksheets.

School Inspection for Senior Secondary Classes 19 May 2018

Bharat Ram global School gearing up for the Senior secondary affiliation has got state of the Art Laboratories for

Physics, Chemistry and Biology in place. The year 2019 will see class XI functional for all streams which are Science,

Commerce and Humanities.

Table Tennis Table

Bharat Ram Global School now has its own Table tennis table and a separate room has been dedicated to the game.

Not everyone wants to go out in the sun and try their hands at sports like football, Cricket and Lawn tennis. There are

some who want to stay away from the sun and exercise themselves using their super quick reflexes. Hoping to see

students enjoying and doing well and bringing laurels to themselves & the school and the families.

New Room for workshops

BRGS understands that if we want our students to do well then our teachers need to be supported on a regular basis.

The school now has a dedicated room for teacher trainings as trainings will now be an ongoing programme in the

school. Technology has changed the classroom operations totally and students learn only when teachers make the

classroom engaging. This requires that the facilitator, the teacher, possess a certain set of knowledge and skills to un-

derstand how and when various tools best support their curricula.

We have tried and covered the entire gambit of what happened in the school throughout the month. We hope that you

enjoy the News that we have covered for you. The Month of June, I am sure is the most waited month for the kids and

the teaching fraternity as they get to enjoy the Summer holidays cherishing the choicest of mangoes and the vacations.

Happy holidays… Come back refreshed and see you same time next month...

Green was the silence, wet was the light, the month of June trembled like a butterfly.
