October 15: Arrive in Tel Aviv Upon our arrival at the Tel Aviv airport, we’ll bemet by our tour guide who will welcome us toIsrael. We’ll be escorted to our awaiting motorcoach and transfer to our hotel where we’ll checkin and enjoy dinner in our rooms.

October 16: Caesarea (Maratima), Mt Carmel, Megiddo & NazarethVillageAfter breakfast, we travel by private motor coachalong the coast of the Mediterranean Sea toCaesarea, where Gentiles first heard the GoodNews from Peter and were baptized. We’ll seethe Roman Amphitheatre, hippodrome, a film onhistory and the remains of this famous port city, and aqueduct, and then journey on to Mt.Carmel, where Elijah challenged King Ahab andthe prophets of Baal. Next we travel through theJezreel Valley to Megiddo, the ArmageddonBattlefield, where archaeologists have unearthed20 levels of civilization. We drive through thearea of Cana and Nazareth, the boyhood homeof Jesus, where we visit the Nazareth Village - awonderful recreation of Biblical times with cos-tumed guides. We will have dinner and overnightlodging for the next two nights in the Tiberiasarea on the Sea of Galilee.

October 17: Magdala, Jesus Boat, Seaof Galilee Cruise, Capernaum, Mt. ofBeatitudes, Mt. ArbelWe begin our day at Magdala, the home of MaryMagdalene. Magdala was a major first-centuryport on the Sea of Galilee, a center of trade andcommerce, and an exporter of salted fish to mar-kets as far away as Europe. Archaeological dis-coveries early in the 21st century have made itan exciting pilgrimage destination as a first cen-tury synagogue and fish market have beenfound of which Jesus and his disciples wouldmost likely have visited. After viewing theancient Fisherman Boat at an operating Kibbutz,we enjoy a relaxing cruise on the Sea of Galilee.A brief scripture reading and devotional on boardbrings to life the experiences of Jesus and thefishermen disciples. Next is Capernaum wherewe visit the ruins of an ancient synagogue andPeter’s home and then the Mt. of Beatitudes. Our last stop today is atop Mt. Arbel which offersan excellent view of the Sea of Galilee andGolan Heights. From here we can visualizemuch of Jesus’ travels during this ministry.

October 18: Dan Nature Preserve,Caesarea Philippi, Palace of HerodAgrippaFollowing breakfast, our morning travels take usto two valuable northern sites. We’ll enjoy a hikethrough the Dan Nature Preserve to see the alterwhere the children of Israel fell to the depths ofpagan worship as well as Abraham’s Gate whichis the oldest uncovered gate in the country ofIsrael and possibly the location that Abrahamcame when pursuing Lot. Early this afternoonwe visit Caesarea Philippi, the site of Peter’s

Confession as well as the ruins of the Palace ofHerod Agrippa. We return to Galilee and enjoythe rest of our day at leisure.

October 19: Beth Shean, Jacobs well,Mt. Gerizim, Shilo, Jericho, Dead Sea We begin our day traveling southward to Beit-Shean/Scythopolis, the most magnificent archeo-logical site in Israel and located at the strategicjuncture of the Jezreel and Jordan valleys. LikeJericho, it has been almost continuously occu-pied throughout history. After defeating Saul andhis sons on Mt. Gilboa, the Philistines hangedtheir bodies on the walls of Beit-Shean. Duringthe time of Jesus, Scythopolis was one of thechief cities of the Decapolis - a league of tencities sharing Greek culture and government. We stop at nearby Jacob's Well, site of Jesus'conversation with a Samaritan woman and driveup to Mt. Gerizim to visit with the localSamaritans still practicing their faith today. TheOld Testament city of Shiloh was home for theTabernacle with the Ark of the Covenant and youmay walk to the likely plateau where it waspitched and picture the cloud pillar of God’s pres-ence rising up above the valley walls. This wouldalso be the spot where Hannah came to pray fora son. Later, she dedicated that son, Samuel, toserve in the Tabernacle. It was from Shiloh thatthe Ark was taken into battle and temporarily lostto the Philistines. Following the fertile JordanValley southward, your guide will point out theagricultural restoration of the “Land of Milk andHoney” and Israel’s intricate irrigation develop-ment. We’ll stop to visit ancient Jericho, this cityfamed as the oldest in the world. Our lodging forthe evening is at the Dead Sea – the lowest

place on earth. Spend time in the special spaand enjoy a dip in the Dead Sea for a relaxingfloat before dinner.

October 20: Dead Sea, Masada, EnGedi, Qumran, Jerusalem Those that are adventurous can get up for a sunrising swim in the Dead Sea as we enjoy somedown time to relax this morning. Later this morn-ing we visit Masada. Take a cable car ride to themountain top fortress where our guide will treatus to the history of the famous zealot stand.Afterwards we proceed to Ein Gedi, "Spring ofthe Goat," an oasis on the western shore of theDead Sea. Because of its warm climate andabundant supply of water, the site developed areputation for its fragrant plants and date palmgroves. This is where King David hid from Saul, and where God defeated the enemies of theIsraelites by praise and worship led by KingJehoshaphat. We’ll stop at Qumran to view theQumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrollswere discovered and then arrive in Jerusalemwhere we’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the OldCity.

October 21: Mount Of Olives, Gardenof Gethsemane, Israel Museum,Holocaust Museum, BethlehemToday we walk where Jesus walked; beginningthe day with a panoramic view of the city, MountMoriah and the Dome of the Rock from atop theMount of Olives. Next we visit the Garden ofGethsemane where you can visualize our Lordand here His voicing praying to the Father. We’llwalk between the ancient olive trees, read thescriptures of Jesus' prayer and take time for per-sonal reflection. An interesting and educationaltime awaits us at the Israeli Museum. Walkthrough collections of centuries-old Israeli arti-facts including the Dead Sea Scrolls, and then aguided walk through an accurately detailedmodel of Biblical Jerusalem will help to prepareyou for what you will experience in the followingdays. We visit GihonSprings, the original water source for Jerusalem, view new excavations including a typical Israelitefour-room house, the lower city wall and the cis-tern where Jeremiah was imprisoned. A highlighttoday will be a water walk through the incredibleHezekiah's Tunnel to the pool of Siloam, theplace of Jesus' miracle in John 9. We’ll view theSouthern Steps where Peter most likelypreached at Pentacost and also see the TemplePinnacle where Jesus was tempted. Continuingwe visit the Western Wall also known as theWailing Wall where we will listen and observe thefervent prayers of the Jewish people. Our lastvisit today is the fascinating Rabbinical Tunnelsleading us through the Second Temple era. Thetunnel and exhibit give a clear understanding ofthe amazing construction of the Temple Mount, giant stones, water supply and Roman streetwhere our Lord was led to judgment. Before exit-ing the tunnel we see the immense cornerstonerejected by the builders.

October 23: Pool of Bethesda, St.Anne’s Church, Way of Suffering,Church of Holy Sepulchre, Old CityShopping, Garden Tomb CelebrationWe begin our day along the Via Dolorosa stop-ping at the Pool of Bethesda, Stephen's Gateand St. Ann’s Church.
