Our 2017 conference will be unlike any other because this year we’re turning 40! Not only will this event be a celebration of our growth and success so far but it will be the perfect opportunity to look to the future with ‘20/20 Vision’.

Our Annual General Meeting, Shareholders’ Forum and Chairman’s Address will be held on Friday afternoon to ensure this important business session is taken care of before the frivolities begin.

Overlooking the multi-tiered lagoon pools, delegates will acquaint themselves with colleagues old and new whilst admiring the beauty that Perth has to o� er, all without leaving the Crown Towers complex.

On Saturday night, we will be celebrating our 40th Anniversary in style at our black-tie Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony. With a few surprises in store, it's going to be a birthday party to remember!

The Preferred Supplier Exhibition will again be held over two days beginning on Saturday afternoon and continuing on Sunday morning, giving you ample time to connect with our preferred partners. Following the Preferred Supplier Exhibition on Sunday morning we’ll be inspired by our closing keynote speaker and the 2018 Annual Shareholders’ Conference destination will be announced.

GUEST SPEAKERSANDREW DADDO – MASTER OF CEREMONIES

Undoubtedly part of the Travellers Choice family, Andrew Daddo returns in 2017 to host his sixth Annual Shareholders’ Conference.

Andrew has managed to have a crack at just about every aspect of the entertainment industry, probably more out of necessity than by design. He's appeared on TV (some good, some great and some entirely forgettable), presented radio programs, podcasts, appeared on stage and a long, long time ago, even made a few movies.

Maybe best of all, Andrew's an accomplished author. He's written 25 books of various sizes, weights and colours. Picture books, chapter books, short story collections, novels and a vague biography - he's hard to pin down.

‘One Step’ is Andrew’s newest book. Released earlier this year, it's his fi rst novel for Young Adults his fi rst new book in quite some time.

Andrew is also part of The Golf Show on Foxsports, Tuesdays at 7:30. Dream job? You bet!

JAYSON WESTBURY – AUSTRALIAN FEDERATION OF TRAVEL AGENTS (AFTA)

Jayson Westbury has been the CEO of the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) since 2009, is the immediate past Chairman of the World Travel Agents Association Alliance (WTAAA) and continues as a Director of that body which has some 56 member states from all over the world.

As a WTAAA delegate to the IATA Passenger Agency Programme Global Joint Council (PAPGJC) Jayson has advised several international tourism bodies, governments and other authorities on a range of issues facing the travel industry.

He also serves on many Australian Federal Government working groups, and contributes to bilateral tourism policy development in Australia and around the world to ensure a sustainable, future-proofed industry is in place to support business success.

Jayson holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Australian Institute of Business and has over 25 years of managerial experience in the hotel, travel, tourism and hospitality industries.

He was awarded an Australian Tourism Champions Award in 2003 and was further recognised as an Australian National Tourism Legend in 2009 and 2011 by Tourism Training Australian. Jayson believes in the future of travel agents as an important part of the value distribution chain and enjoys good wine, steep ski slopes and politics both foreign and domestic.

Travellers Choice members will make their nominations at the time of completing their conference registration. This will streamline the process, enable maximum voting uptake and ensure that the winner is the most accurate representation from across the entire group.

Members are asked to rank their top three preferred suppliers. Preferred suppliers ranked fi rst will be allocated three points, second will be allocated two points and third will be allocated one point. The preferred supplier with the highest number of nomination points will be determined as the winner!

As each agency is only permitted to complete a single nomination for this award, the agency’s nomination should be included as part of the registration for the primary delegate. All additional delegates are asked to skip this section of the registration form.

Members who are not attending this year’s Annual Shareholders’ Conference will have the option to complete their nominations by completing the online nomination form.

This prestigious award will be presented at the Gala Dinner on Saturday 18 November 2017.

FLIGHTS AND TRAVELLINGThe fl ight times listed have been selected as they coincide with the conference program and are known as ‘block fl ights’. Should you require fl ights outside those listed, please note your preferred arrangements in the relevant section of the registration form. For those selecting fl ights outside the block, you will be contacted by the Travellers Choice Corporate O� ce to confi rm arrangements following your registration. Please note, members intending to register more than one delegate will be responsible for organising air travel for all additional delegates.

DO YOU QUALIFY FOR FREE FLIGHTS*

We are pleased to o� er one FOC return economy Qantas Airways ticket per shareholding. The FOC ticket CAN be used on alternative fl ights to those indicated above, however Travellers Choice will need to book and ticket them – please request these in the box provided on your registration form. Should you wish to travel on alternative fl ights, FOC tickets will be subject to availability in relevant booking classes and may incur an additional charge.

Please do not advise fl ights for delegates who do not qualify for an FOC ticket. Air travel for all delegates not utilising the FOC ticket is the delegate’s own responsibility and will need to be booked independently.

TRANSFERSFor delegates on either arrival or departure block fl ights, coach transfers will be available to and from the Qantas Domestic Terminal Perth and Crown Perth. After arriving, please collect your luggage and make your way to the coach transfer area outside the airport building and look out for your Travellers Choice BDMs who will have a Travellers Choice placard.

Transfers will leave from the Qantas Domestic Terminal Perth no later than 1240 hours (BNE arrivals), 1330 hours (SYD, MEL and CBR arrivals) and 1420 hours (ADL arrivals) on Friday 17 November 2017. Please nominate on the registration form if you require a transfer to Crown Perth on the coaches provided.

Those delegates travelling outside of the block fl ights are required to make their own way to Crown Perth.

Return transfers to the Qantas Domestic Terminal Perth will depart from Crown Perth at 1345 hours (CRB and SYD departures), 1445 hours (BNE departures) and 1545 hours (ADL and MEL departures) on Sunday 19 November 2017. Please nominate on the registration form if you require a transfer to the airport following the event.

METHOD OF PAYMENTConference registrations need to be accompanied by full payment of fees in order to have your attendance confi rmed. Once received, delegates will receive a confi rmation email which will include a receipt and tax invoice. Registration fees may be paid by credit card (Visa or MasterCard, transaction fee of 2.75% applies) at the time of registration or by direct transfer.

CHANGE FEEA change fee of $100.00 (excluding GST) may be charged to cover administration costs involved with any changes made to registrations after Friday 06 October 2017.

A full refund, less a cancellation fee of $230.00 (excluding GST) will be made for cancellations received before Friday 06 October 2017. No refund will be made after this date. Any invoices outstanding at this time will need to be paid in full.

REGISTRATION DATESRegistration should be completed by Friday 14 July 2017. Any registration completed after this date may incur an additional registration fee of $50.00.

The fi nal date for registration is Friday 11 August 2017.

Accommodation cannot be guaranteed and late fees may apply after this date.

INSURANCERegistration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that all delegates take out their own travel insurance prior to attending the conference. The policy should include loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the conference, or through cancellation of the conference itself, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. Travellers Choice will not accept any responsibility for any participant failing to insure.
