Engineering education has a very important technical component. But without the ability to adapt and communicate, this
is not enough for the engineering profession. It is therefore essential to acquire a much broader culture. ISEN pedagogy
pays great attention to human training, also known as soft skills. For example, working on projects allows you to develop
teamwork or learn creativity.
Every effort is made to ensure that courses and projects are carried out in small groups and promote oral communication
and exchange between students. From the fi rst year to their graduation, the students progress and acquire all the skills
that will make them a qualifi ed professional and be sought after by companies.
ISEN develops digital tools in engineering training. Interactive content such as online courses (MOOC) are set up and
complemented with different means including coworking, code design and pedagogy through innovative projects.

ISEN as seen by our students“At ISEN Toulon you do not spend a stereotypical semester abroad. The fact that the
university is very small and there are not many other exchange students in the area
means that you meet other students very quickly. We were immediately integrated by
the students into their community, which helped a lot to adapt and with questions. Due
to the small total number of students, the courses are also usually very small, and the
lecturers are very understanding if you have diffi culties with the language. Overall, we
are having a unique time here and we wouldn’t want to spend it anywhere else.”
