(1) With great enthusiasm, ‘IHI-International Students Competitions-Dec 2015’ (ISC-DEC-2015) is being conducted, to observe EARTH DAY EVERY DAY.

This is an International Students Competition, dedicated to all school/college students world-wide, providing a framework for all students to share ideas, to promote International togetherness, awareness, to awaken the hidden talents among the younger generation by giving them an opportunity to reflect his/her natural ability in drawing & painting skills and make a big collective global impact focused on Environment.

Purpose of this competition

(2) The purpose of this Students competition ISC-DEC-2015 is to awaken the hidden talents among the students by giving them an opportunity to reflect their natural ability in drawing, painting, essay-writing & story-writingskills.

Competition Entry Requirements

(3) Competition is open to all students from any School/College1 in India & abroad up to the age of 20 years,

studying under any medium/board/Govt./private etc., This competition serves as an excellent method for getting students interested in drawing, painting, essay-writing & story-writing skills. It is both an international event and

a dynamic network, providing a framework for every student to share his/her ideas, discover more ideas, and make a big collective impact. All students are classified into categories as below:

Note: Students can take part in any number of entries (no limit) in ISC-DEC-2015.

How to conduct this International event? (6) I. For Drawing & Painting Competition:

(a) Students are encouraged to participate in one or more entries as per their choice; there is no limit to number of entries by a participant.

(b) Participants should buy their own drawing white charts and cut it to any convenient size according to their choice. However teacher-in-charge should take care, that the size of the drawing sheets should be the same for all participants, so that it will be easier for packing and sending it back to us.

(c) Before starting drawing/painting work, at the backside of each drawing sheet, teacher-in-charge should affix their school seal, and student should write their name/class, to avoid misplacing/lost/change of drawing charts.

(d) In these drawing charts, participants can create their drawings and paint it according on any3 theme / subject / caption

in their school only and submit it to teacher-in-charge as early as possible. Teacher-in-charge should make sure that, the drawings/paintings are created - only by the participant and nobody else. (For drawings/paintings, any type of paint/color

4 can be used as per student choice)

(e) Students participating in more than one entry should submit their drawings/paintings on different themes. For example: If a student participates in 4 entries, he/she should submit 4 paintings on 4 different themes on 4 different drawing charts.

(f) Students can take part in any number of entries (no limit) as per their choice.

(g) After all students complete their work, at the backside of each & every drawing sheet, please paste the duly filled-in PARTICIPANT-FORM (given on page №.11). Please follow the instructions given in the form.

II. For Essay & Story-writing contest:

(a) Students are encouraged to participate in one or more entries as per their choice; there is no limit to number of entries by a participant.

(b) Students should buy their own A4 white sheets, as per their requirements.

(c) Before starting essay/story-writing work, on the front-side top of each A4 white sheet, teacher-in-charge should affix their school seal, and student should write their name/class, to avoid misplacing/lost/change of A4 sheets.

(d) In these A4 sheets, students can write their essay/story-writings on any theme/subject/caption in their school only and submit it to teacher-in-charge as early as possible. Teacher-in-charge should make sure that, the essay/story-writings are created - only by the participant and nobody else.

(e) Students participating in more than one entry should submit their essay/story-writings on different themes. For example: If a student participates in 4 entries, he/she should submit 4 essay/story-writings on 4 different themes.

(f) Students can take part in any number of entries (no limit) as per their choice.

(g) After all participants complete their work, on the front-side of each set of essay/story-writing, please pin/staple the duly filled-in PARTICIPANT-FORM (given on page №.14). Please follow the instructions given in the form.

(h) Parameters on which the Essay-writings shall be adjudged are:

or differs. � When writing conclusion, participants should give their own opinions only.

rainwater harvesting, and off grid power).

Judging Procedure

(8) For Drawing/Painting/Essay/Story-writing competition: Parameters on which the competitions shall be adjudged are:

� Originality � Scientific temper � Creativity � Language The creations will also be judged on overall merit of the work and excellence in demonstrating the theme. Allworks will be judged group wise – Category A/B/C/D and the decision of the judges @IHI will be final.

Benefits for Participants

(9) Each participant will be awarded with International Certificate with Grade.

(10) Participants scoring below 40% (or) absentees will receive International Certificate for participation.

(11) Prize-winning drawings/paintings will be published in our global website freely for one year and thereafter it may be extended or removed based upon the response from the world-wide visitors.

(12) Winning participants can be happy to see their creations in our global website available throughout the world.

(13) Winning participants can tell their friends, relatives in their respective countries & abroad to see their created works published in our global website and get a thrilling experience with enjoyment during their school days.

Competition guidelines

(14) Submitted work must be the student’s original creation!

(15) Individual entries/enquiries from students/parents will not be accepted under any circumstances.

(16) Entry to this Competition accepted only through their respective school(s).

(17) If interested (optional), Schools can send their photos/videos of participants, their school buildings, participants while creating works, etc., through email or upload

5 in our website. Selected materials will be published in our

website freely.

(18) All materials including drawings/paintings/essay-writing/story-writing, written contents, softcopies, hardcopies, digital photo/videos and any other items, upon submission to IHI by school(s)/college(s), is NOT REFUNDABLE and will become the property of IHI including its copyright & all other rights.

(19) All material(s) submitted by schools/participants, including hardcopies, softcopies, digital photos/videos etc., will be stored in our database as soft-copies/hard-copies and it may be used for our promotional, marketing and publicity activities in any/all media(s) including newspaper(s)/magazine(s)/television(s)/website(s) etc., without any further communications/ references/payments or any other compensations to schools/participants/ parents etc., whatsoever.

(20) Prizes/certificates are not transferable and not redeemable for cash, under any circumstances.

(21) If more than one entry is selected for the same prize or other prizes/awards, etc., then the winners will be selected by lucky draw from the lot.

(22) The organizers IHI reserves to itself the right to substitute any of the prize(s) (or any part thereof) for an alternative item(s) equivalent to its value.

(23) Minimum participants should be at least 100 students per school (Maximum No-limit).

(24) IHI reserves to itself the right to alter/cancel any terms, without prior notice.

Remunerations for Principal & others

(25) Principal (or) H.M. will be the Chief-in-charge for this ISC-DEC-2015 for their respective schools. Principal (or) H.M. remuneration will be as given below: For Indians (in INR) : Total number of entries in your school X Rs.8 (For example: 894 entries, 894 X 8 = Rs.7152.00)

For all other countries (in your own currency equivalent to US dollars):

Total number of entries in your school X US $ 0.50 (For example: 894 entries, 894 X US $ 0.50 = US $ 447)

(26) Class-teacher(s) (or) Teacher(s) responsible for their students joining in this competition will be paid

remuneration as given below:

For Indians (in INR) :

Total number of entries under each class-teacher (or) teacher X Rs.5 (For example: 46 entries, 46 X 5 = Rs.230)

For all other countries (in your own currency equivalent to US dollars):

Total number of entries under each class-teacher (or) teacher X US $0.25 (For example: 46 entries, 46 X US $ 0.25 = US $ 11.5)

Entry-Fee (for India and all other countries)

(27) Each School can deduct 10% (ten percentage only) from the total registration-fee collected, to meet various expenses like stationery, packing, courier charges, bank charges, clerical works etc. Other remuneration amounts mentioned in S.№.25 & 26 above can also be deducted from the registration-fee collected.

(a) Entry-Fee (for India): Each participant has to pay a nominal entry-fee of Rs.100 (Rupees one hundred only) per entry.

(If a student participates in 4 entries, his/her entry-fee is 4x100=Rs.400)

After all deductions, as mentioned in S.№.27, the remaining amount is to be remitted to the Organizers, by Demand-Draft-D.D. (or) Bankers Cheque, in the name of ‘IMPERIAL HITECH INTERNATIONAL (IHI)’ payable at Chennai, at any one of the banks viz., State Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Andhra Bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB), Indian Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC).

Submission of Drawings/Paintings (Last date: 11-December-2015 Friday)

(28) Teachers-in-charge should collect all the drawings/paintings/essay/story-writings from all students with participant-form (page №.11); pack it in one or more parcel(s), along-with original filled-in Registration-form(hard copy) (page №.10) + Bank payment slip (copy) / original Demand-Draft (D.D.). Also enclose covering letter in school letter-head signed by Principal/H.M./Head/teacher-in-charge (any one) along with hard copy of Form №.4

6 (see S.№.31). On the top of the package, please write ‘DO NOT FOLD’ on both sides of the

package. Please also mention in centre top – ISC-DEC-2015 (EDUCATION MATERIALS) and sent it by any genuine courier service having on-line tracking facilities only so as to reach us, on or before 11-December-2015 (Friday). (please email the bill number & date of courier)

(29) Sent the parcel addressed to:

(32) Registration-Form Instructions:

(a) Please fill the registration-form without mistakes. (b) Filled-in registration-form should be scanned and emailed to: [email protected] along with Form

№.4 enclosed (see S.№.31); on or before 4-December-2015 (Friday) to receive registration numbers for each and every entry of the participants. Separate Registration Numbers will be allotted to each entries of a participant. Mention respective registration number on each participant-form (page №.11) without fail. Registration numbers will be sent to school email ID.

(c) Incomplete registration forms will not be entertained. (d) If the last date is a holiday, the next working day will be considered (Saturday/Sunday off). (e) Completed Registration-form original (hard copy) and Form №.4 (hard copy) must be enclosed with the

parcel containing drawings/paintings of all entrants with other enclosures, and it should be sent by courier after the competition is completed, so as to reach us, on or before 11-December-2015 (Friday) (see S.№.28)

We would be grateful if you could display the competition details in your school notice board and school circular book, so that everybody in your school can be aware of this competition. So please help us out by spreading the word. Thanks!
