AGS (ANALYSIS GROUND STATION) :
Flight data analysis or also known as flight data monitoringwhich is the step towards safety.Provides a clear and extensiveunderstanding of how aircraft are used in normal lineoperations.
Exceedences, undesirable trends within operating limits andmechanical problems can be detected before they lead tounsafe or expensive conditions.
This system is used by FOQA ( Flight Operations QualityAssurance ), MOQA ( Maintenance Operations QualityAssurance ).
Since the system is designed for data readout and analysis it isalso fully compatible with Flight Investigations and with FDRreadouts.

Originally the input data to this system was generatedexclusively by earlier generation Flight Data Recorders(FDR),which were intended for post accident or seriousincident investigations. With time these grew in capability from
the original 6 parameters recorded on foil to the moderngeneration storing 50 hours worth of about 1000 parameters.
An advance that lead towards the modern FOQA approach wasthe introduction by manufacturers of non crash-resistantrecorders on board aircraft. These were initially intend for
trouble shooting purposes.

The use of data recorder on this system,it is easily accessiblerecorder, known as Quick Access Recorders (QAR) for thepurpose of a FOQA program quickly become obvious.Recordingcapability was added to the directly to the data management
or data acquisition units, allowing for a direct access to the datato be recorded. Therefore,a recording which was userconfigurable and easily modifiable sice this was no longer tiedto the signal being sent to the FDR-this capability becameknown as Direct Access Recorder (DAR).
The AGS is capable of accepting data from all commercially
available FDR,QAR and DAR sources on the market due to itscapability for input frame customization.

Analytical Process- The data input process is relatively automatic, with
its setup varying from one airline to another due todifferences in onboard recording systems. In general
this consists of a tower of drives capable of readingthe type of media recorder by the aircraft, into whichthe media from the aircraft are placed. If the airlinechooses to keep track of media serial numbers forthe purposes of media quality tracking these can beentered manually, otherwise most recorders on themarket allow for the recording of a tail number oraircraft registration which the AGS can detect.Thedata entry window can be seen in figure 3.0

Statical Reports
The AGS generates through its standard operation a databaseof detected exceedences and a database of parameter valuesat specific points in.

Marcel MmeMarcel Mme created Socit dApplications Gnrale dElectricit et de
Mcanique (SAGEM).
His initial business was mainly on mechanical engineering.
Sagem quickly diversified its business, for instance by making precision
equipment for the French navy.
Socit Anonyme de Tlcommunications was taken over by SAGEM in 1939 and
making it a major player in telephone and telecom business.
