get started on your IS Presentation!

• Identify and Describe your Job–Hours, daily/weekly routine–Training, certification/schooling,
equipment, paperwork–Potential salary, working conditions,
future prospects–Cool VS Yucky tasks; things at which
you have become an ‘expert’; things you needed to practice a bit

impact regular maintenance has on overall reliability of a vehicle; (related to transp. tech, physics, science, english/math)
– Trade/Labour (carpentry, landscaping, electrical, plumbing, etcetera) – the process of designing, installing, building, repairing something; the comparison between an older and newer approach to a core process (ie. stick framing vs. engineered trussing; (related to design tech, construction tech., physics)
– Teaching Assistant – working with a student on literacy / numeracy or other subject skills; the impact of routine on learning; lesson prep & delivery; exam review; (related to Human Growth, English, Math, Music, Art, etcetera)
– Health Sciences (vet/med/dental/therapy) – most common conditions observed and treated; cellular health and impact on overall well-being (related to science, biology, chemistry)

1.The IS Task (sometimes called the rich task…) – this is the task or job that is related to your ‘tie course’ (a.k.a. related course); is related to your PPLP
2.The Presentation – is the visual and verbal presentation of your IS Task AFTER the task is done; the presentation is your chance to showcase the skills and knowledge you learned during placement
