This Works Program initiative is being delivered at Playford Alive in partnership with: IS Australia Tickets to Trade Live Training Site Program Renewal SA’s Works Program proudly supports training and employment initiatives for local people. The IS Australia Live Training Site Program is being delivered at Playford Alive in partnership with the Northern Economic Plan; an initiative of the Department of State Development, IS Australia and WorkReady. Specifically targeting local people from the Playford Alive area and the wider northern suburbs. Participants should be keen to work outdoors, have a reasonable level of fitness and not be currently enrolled in school. This Program will: ^ deliver a Certificate II in Resources and Infrastructure (RII20113); ^ deliver tickets and/or experience in: • Enter and Work in Confined Spaces [RIIWHS202D] • Conduct basic scaffolding operations [RIIHAN211D] • Use hand and power tools [RIISAM203D] • Conduct civil construction skid steer operations [RIIMPO318D]; ^ provide hands-on experience on a construction site to develop new skills to improve future job opportunities; and ^ work experience and employment networking opportunities following completion. White Card - Work Safely in the Construction Industry [CPCCOHS1001A] will be offered to successful graduates. Program participants are required to supply their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): ^ Long trousers ^ High visibility vest or shirt ^ Steel capped boots ^ Safety glasses and gloves This Program will commence on Tuesday 29 March 2016 and runs full time, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm for three weeks. Training is held at IS Australia, Para Hills. Live Working experience is offered at IS Australia Live Training Site, Munno Para and BMD Construction Kings Road upgrade. Eligibility criteria apply.
