Climate Change
Integration through Inner Space to Deep Ocean Observation & Data Science
Distinctive features: Knowledge- and data-driven network organization, lean structure, optimized to use the
existing infrastructures and know-how (national nodes and partnerships) Connecting coastal areas around the Atlantic and Atlantic islands to develop scientific and
technological based services, value chains and North-South and South-South relationships. Islands and remote areas are living labs.
Opening to Atlantic to a new era of collaboration and driving science & technology-based business.
Inspire by the 2030 agenda

Understanding the Atlantic ocean for a Healthy & Productive Ocean
Clean, Affordable and Secure Energy for All
Scientific targets-Program Marine Resources and Biodiversity: Promote Sustainable Fisheries, aquaculture and ecosystem valorization;
Healthy and Clean Ocean: Protection of related marine and coastal ecosystems to avoid significant adverse impacts;
Systems integration from outer space to Deep Ocean: Observing, modelling and monitoring oceans and coastal areas for a better management of the Atlantic resources, plus the development, integration, transfer technologies and use of sensors, devices and systems;
Mitigation and Adaptation to Climate Change: including resilience of cities and coastal areas, disaster risk reduction and regional planning, were applicable;
Sustainable Energy Systems: including but not limited to marine renewable energy technologies development, global energy interconnections and the use of renewable energy sources;
Data science, artificial intelligence and learning systems for ocean, atmosphere dynamics and climate issues: matching data producers and user needs.
