your emergency card / alcohol form.

2. Place your baskets along the back of the dining room. Make sure they have a number and a donation sticker from Mr. Moch or Ms. Bernal. Also enter your information on the basket sign in sheet.

3. You may sign up for the ATM Account or ask questions to the representatives from Bank of America.

TASTE OF EUROPE INFORMATION

Students are asked to donate Theme Baskets, Pot-Luck dishes. They will receive proceeds from the sale of basket tickets and 50/50 for these items.

Food SAMPLE should feed: 100+. You need to provide all serving tools. Be Creative! Servings should be small. Pasta Dishes, Soups, Casseroles, Salads, work best. WE WILL NEED MAIN COURSES. Desserts will be provided, OUR NEED FOR EXTRA DESSERT IS MINIMAL. Please sign in tonight with your dish! More than one dish will give you an extra share. Hot dishes can be warmed in the ovens / stoves. Please bring food by 5:00 pm, as Doors OPEN at 6:00.

Bring Extension cords, serving utensils, specialty items.

USE OF CORDS IN THE DINING ROOM IS NOT LIKELY.

Coffee, Juice, Water provided.

TASTE OF EUROPE INFORMATION ALL Students must work the event,

from 2:35-??? on April 23rd.

Individual Students will keep ALL proceeds from individual tickets sold. $15.00 per ticket. THE EVENT WILL BE SOLD OUT AT 500 TICKETS. First come, first served with the tickets! If you have not returned tickets / money, please do so as soon as possible. You will be charged for unreturned tickets.

Bring additional baskets as soon as possible. Bring them to Mr. Violanti’s room before 7:40 AM daily or after 2:35. None accepted after 4/17.

PACKING May 11th, 2015—Packing List

DUE to Mr. Violanti. Bring it to the student meeting that night.

SUGGESTED list should include: One 20-24 inch suitcase, one

backpack 50 pounds max on the suitcase!

One Passport holder with Student ID, debit card, phone card, prescriptions.

Following Items:

Packing List SuggestionsHere is ALL you will need for a week, two weeks, or a month of travel.

1. ONE pair of pants. May be khaki types, Capris, a pair of “wind pants”, or light nylons. DO NOT BRING JEANS. (Too heavy, too bulky, too long to dry.)

2. ONE week’s worth of undergarments/socks. Bring things that dry fast or are disposable if you are bringing more.

3. THREE or FOUR pairs of shorts.

4. FOUR or FIVE t-shirts. Again if you bring more, make sure they are disposable. These should PREFERABLY NOT ADVERTISE. (Old Navy, Iroquois, etc.)

5. One collared golf/polo shirt and long pants for churches, dinner. Ladies should have one “nice” appropriate top or dress. Churches will NOT allow women in shorts or with shoulders showing.

6. ONE pair of COMFORTABLE walking shoes or sandals. Make sure they are broken in. If you go with sandals, make sure they are comfortable sports sandals and not slides. Flip Flops are not advised.

7. ONE hat, bandana, or visor. ONE pair of cheap sunglasses.

8. Sunscreen. Share this with your buddy. Chapstick.

9. One buddy should bring a nylon cord for a clothesline, and some type of laundry soap.

10. A “stuff sack” to keep dirty clothing separate under you can clean it. (Grocery bags work great.)

11. Basic personal toiletries and hygiene materials. SHARE WITH BUDDY WHEN POSSIBLE. (shampoo, body soap instead of bars, etc) Also, some basic medical materials (aspirin, band-aids, tweezers, nail clips) and contact lens materials. (BRING YOUR GLASSES) Bring small pack of tissues.

12. Wet-Wipes and a small washcloth

13. A LIGHT WEIGHT nylon jacket or warm up top. Should be Waterproof. You may need a sweatshirt if you have room.

14. ONE Electrical converter and adaptor per buddy group.

15. Music players and batteries. SHARE IF POSSIBLE. A small flashlight.

16. Camera. Memory Cards WILL BE INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE THERE.

17. A cheap watch. (YOU MUST HAVE A WATCH.)

18. A book, or reading material. A Journal. A pen….some puzzles….

Phones IF you bring a phone, the following is

YOUR responsibility: You must contact your carrier to

determine overseas capabilities and charges on your phone.

You must be aware how to shut off such functions as data push, etc.

PHONES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED DURING TOURS OR MEALS. The only time they will be used is in hotels or on bus / train / plane rides.

WI-FI MAY be available. This is NOT our priority.

Fundraising Information

1. Candy Bar Sales are completed. If you owe for candy, you will be billed April 10th.

2. Split Club Money and Stubs due by April 10th.

2. Fundraising checks, NOT INCLUDING THE SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS, will be issued at the next meeting, May 11th.

General Announcements

All travelers must work the Taste of Europe. Work begins immediately after school on 4/24 and concludes at about 10:00 or when all cleanup is completed.
