IRONCAD® is a cost-effective, full-featured detail design production tool for engineering design users. The user can choose between using a constraint history based design method or a no constraint, no history based design approach. This allows the flexibility of using the best technology for the job at hand. In the early stages of design it is hard to know exactly what constraint scheme will work the best. With IRONCAD, the user can build up the geometry and then constrain only the critical areas rather than having to constrain the whole model from the start. IRONCAD provides a fully customizable system and automation support through VBA. VBA allows drag-and-drop variable-driven tools to be developed that quickly create such things as fasteners, custom holes, patterns, bearings, gears, hot/cold rolled steel shapes, helixes and exploded assemblies.
