President’s Message

Dear Fellow Members,

We kicked off our season with a great Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day event on September 21st. The weather

was perfect for our second annual Cornhole Tournament, which was lots of fun! Thanks to the Griffith and

Mulcahey Academies of Irish Dance for entertaining the crowd, and to the GAA for the demonstrations out on

the field. Many thanks to the committee who worked tirelessly to plan and carry out this event along with all the

volunteers who helped make this happen.

Elections will be held Sunday, September 29th from 2 to 4 pm and Friday, October 4th from 6 to 8 pm in

the upstairs hall. More details on the members running are included in this Newsletter. Please stop by and

cast your vote and remember to bring your current membership card and a photo ID.

Finally, I want to thank all the officers who are stepping down this year after many years of dedicated service: Peter Hart, Shelia Dupuis Green, Liz Saunders, Kathy Saimininkas, and Rick Breen.

It has been my pleasure to serve as your President for the past two years. We have done great

things together and I am certain that will continue with the new slate of officers.

All the best,

Elizabeth O’Leary

SIGN IN YOUR GUESTS!!

PROTECT YOUR CLUB! State liquor control laws mandate that private

clubs maintain a guest book where non-member guests are required to register and

be signed in by the member. Please ensure

that your guests are properly signed

in…help protect your club! Failure to

comply with the liquor laws may result in fines

or other penalties such as closure of our pub

for a period determined by the Liquor Control

Commission. Please remember that you are

responsible for the conduct of your guests and they must depart the premises when

you depart…no exceptions. This is your

club…protect it at all times! Please

remember that outside beverages are

prohibited at all times. Thank you for

your cooperation.

NEW MEMBER SCREENING The Board of Directors are available to screen any potential new members beginning at 6 pm on meeting nights (the 2nd Friday of each month). Successful candidates will be sworn in the same night, during the monthly meeting at 7:30 pm. ***************************************************

parties or gatherings on Friday nights in

the Pub downstairs. It is our busiest

the increased number of non-member

guests that have been coming down. We

want you to welcome your friends and

family, but please be courteous to your

fellow members and limit the number of

guests you invite on Friday nights.

Thanks for your cooperation!

proposed new building and any additional renovation

needs for the existing building.
